Recently purchased Glock 19 and 26.

G19 with over 300 rounds through it.
Not a single issue with several range loads and a few different SD loads

G26 with over 200 rounds
Not a single issue with several range loads and a few different SD loads

In the last 2 months, I've purchased a Gen 4 G19 and Gen 4 G21, despite my initial misgivings. Those misgivings proved to be unfounded. I've fired approximately 200 Federal FMJ rounds (124-grain 9mm and 185-grain .45) through each and both have been flawless, with strong extraction and ejection out to the 4-5 o'clock position.

A friend of mine just bought a Gen 4 G23, and it's a beast. I like it far better than the Gen 3 G23. Recoil management with the new RSA is superb. Also, a local PD has gone to Gen 4 G22s and those with whom I've spoken are very pleased. Just today, I spoke to an Arkansas Game & Fish officer, who was carrying his new Gen 4 G21 and he was as giddy about it as an expectant father. He stated that his qualification scores went up when compared to the previous Gen 3 G22 and that the departmental response to the new Gen 4 G21s had been overwhelmingly positive.

I'm sold on the Gen 4s now. I also guess I'm lucky. Since 1991, I've never gotten a lemon from Glock. The Gen 4s, in my experience at least, seem to running great now.

G19 - 700 through it, no problems. I was hesitant to buy one initially because all I read was how "horrible" they were.... no regrets. I get so tired of reading about how "my gen 4 had one btf in 1000 rounds of xxx brand **** ammo." For me it comes down to function, if it slings lead down range reliably for a long ass time then I could care less if it slings brass at my forehead, feet, or another continent.

G26, and G27 Gen4's
No problems at all. They eat any ammo I feed them.

1. Which model(s) do you own?

2:G19

2. Which fits your situation:
B. I have ejection problems with this handgun(s)

G19 RGX serial number had a Gen 3 ejector, trigger and the recall guide rod from the factory. All were replaced at the last GSF match by the armorer. G19 TKY serial number had all the improved parts and had no issues with ejection until 700 rounds. Both guns throw brass every direction, including brass to the face.

Just got my 21 g4 yesterday, ejection problem out of 200 rounds 3 to the face and 2 0r 3 to the right shoulder. Other than that I love this Glock and it was a pleasure to operate. They were Rem umc 230 Gr MC. Cleaned and lubed prior to firing ,no attachments installed .Never had this problem with other Glocks or other brand pistols.I do plan on running different ammo and seeing how it goes. Hoping not to send it off.

Gen 4 Glock 27
Last round of the first mag I'd put through the gun the last live round partially ejected before entering the chamber, so it was stuck halfway out of the slide. It was a Speer Gold Dot 155grn. Corrected it and loaded it again and no more problems. I'm attributing it to a mag problem, because I was using a mag with the Glock Factory +2 extension. Haven't had any problems with it since, really like the gun 100 rnds later.

Gen 4 G-22..no problems...even if a case hits me in the forehead..I don't really notice or care. Still reliable and as far as a .40 goes, very tame and accurate. Love it.

If I go out and get a 17 Gen 4 can I be assured it has all the "new" parts? I was looking at Fleet & Farm today and the guy behind the counter didn't seem to know much. I asked if he can look at the envelope on the shell case but he didn't seem to interested. All he said is he had one brand new in the back. This is a small Fleet & Farm and they may not sell many Glocks in a year. Just curious if they would have had to send the ones they had in stock back to get reworked or if I get an older one that will be my responsibility?

Interesting question. I have only dealt with large reputable gun dealers and my Gen 4s are my first Glocks. This might be something you would have to ask Glock themselves. Maybe there is a way to get a serial number range or something…. or a Glock armorer should know.

Someone who loves glocks.

An armorer is someone trained by the factory to conduct inspections and repairs in the field.

Some do it at matches and some are employed by ranges etc. Some like myself are police officers and work on department guns.
