40-9mm Conversion, how to do it

I have long avoided the purchase of a 40 S&W

Has anyone converted there G 35 to a 9mm? is it anymore than the barrel and magazine? Extractor? Thanks

Can't speak for the G35, but I put a Lone Wolfe 40 to 9 conversion barrel in my G23, added 9mm mage, and it ran flawless. Didn't change anything else. YMMV

I do use a 9mm extractor in my G35 when shooting 9mm. It's not a necessity but it does seem to throw the brass a bit more consistently.

G27 with just Storm Lake 40-9mm barrel and G26 mags.
Runs flawless with no BTF or FTF.
Plus I can swap back my 40 S&W barrel and mag in seconds.
1000 Hollow Points and 1000 FMJ in 9mm.
But I only run 124/127 gr ammo and mostly +P or NATO.
Some folks have issues with low powered light 9mm (115 gr).

I would think that the long slide might take more energy to cycle reliably.
So high powered 9mm might be a must.

So it looks like a mag and barrel change. Is the wolf kit a good pick?

I've had several Lone Wolf conversion barrels including the one I currently have. I've never had an issue with them and they shoot really well. Yes there are better quality barrels, but for me, I don't shoot it very often so the $99 price tag seemed to make more sense than something almost twice as much.

I just tested 9mm rounds in the 40 mag and they ran just fine for me. Both jhp and fmj. So I'd hold off on the mag and test first.

My Gen3 G35 runs fine with bulk 9mm ball (124gr) & good 124gr +P's; using a LW barrel.

That seems to be another advantage of buying Glock.
