Just modified mine...turned out better than I thought since I am definitely no gunsmith!

I was considering trading in my MAK90 for a S&W MP15x but my brother talked me out of it...

Here's another pic of what a MAK-90 can made to look like while being totally 922r compliant.

This one has Ironwood design walnut furniture and a Tapco G2 double hook FCG. Don't let anyone BS you...while the OEM trigger group is good on a MAK...the newer Tapco G2s are just as good and I don't believe you will ever tell the difference.

Believe me...I know....

Did both screws for your buffer tube fit in the long tang? I could only get the 1 screw inside the dust cover in...but it seems to hold well...

I like the mod, that is what I am considering doing to my MAK 90. I am the original owner.

Though, mine is a milled receiver.

Nice mod. Stamped or milled?

Just the one inside the dust cover... I was able to find a "smaller" screw to fit in the outside hole though... I too think that it's MORE than sturdy with just the one screw in though.

I just did this to my 1952 Russian SKS.

Those 20rd Chinese mags are hard to find around here.

I installed a Tapco trigger, a Hogue rubber grip, single point sling adapter from Echo nine three, and a BlackHawk single point sling. I threaded the muzzle and installed the Tallon brake from Go Gun. It works very well by the way!

It's nothing fancy but it shoots fairly well for what it is. 4" at 100 yards is about average. Everything is on the paper at 200 yards and no malfunctions so far. (The target being used is a standard OPOTA qualification target.) I've put exactly 600 rounds down range so far.

This Norinco is a keeper!
