Just picked up a couple of Pierce mag bottoms for mine today. I like the way they feel a little better than the stockers.
Congrats to those who just got their G30's. Love mine even more now.

I just sold my 1911 for a G30, I don't regret it one bit.

Couldn't help take another pic when I was done giving it a good wipe down and relube.
Thirsty work, that was. Don't worry....G30 was locked away safe and sound before the top was popped.

45 has been my favorite reloading and shooting round for many years. I'm just not into the 9 and 40 stuff. I switch off between my G30 and my Taurus PT145. Both great guns.

Can I convert a G30sf to a 10mm?
I carried a G23 initially considered losing 3 rds with the G30, then I woke up - 10 rds of .45 +P beats 13 rds of .40
And here is a question: I have a G30sf (short frame) - can I drop in a G29 barrel and use a G29 magazine and turn it into a 10mm?
Do I need to use G29sf magazine? Or is there such a thing?
Thanks for any info on this.

You need a .45-10mm conversion barrel from kkm or storm lake - you cant just drop in a stock G29 barrel.
SF mags are not different from standard frame mags - so a standard G29 mag will fit.

Was going to do the samething but the way it turns out I got tired of my tin of pocket change I had been saving sitting on my dresser so cashed it in came out enough for my new g29 :-) picked it up yesterday. Wanted to get a taste of this 10mm power I keep hearing about.

Thanks to all for the info - and good info on the KKM/Storm conversion.
I also read that a problem arose having something to do with throat tolerances and other specification differences in the slide/receiver?
Any comments on this?

I read that also on more than one forum. Are you wanting just for range use. Not sure I would trust for carry

I looked at KKM and they say it needs another extractor - I think that is what I was trying to remember.
Actually, I had a G29 that was stippled and customized (not by me), which I didn't much like, and I swapped it for my G30sf which also fit my hand better.
I was just trying to go 10mm on the cheap - I should know better and my word of advice for the day is NEVER sell your Glock unless it's for another one.

Oh okay. Yes I know what you mean. I wonder if you change extractor if when you switch barrels back for .45 if any issues.

+1 for the G30. It quickly became my favorite handgun and still is today.

Nope,.....a ten round G30 mag is a ten round G30 mag.
A nine round G30 mag can have an additional capacity extension added.

My 30SF spends most of her time beside my chair in the living room, but here she is in her traveling clothes.

Anyone else using G21 mags w/ the A&G extension sleeves on their G30?
I prefer this set up at the range and for HD purposes, makes for a very comfortable grip ang gives you 13+1 capacity using an OE mag.
I go back to the stock 10 rounders w/ the Pierce finger extension for carry.

Yeah, that's the configuration that I use for HD.
