Just Right Carbine, 9mm
They are now coming with threaded barrells. I put an AR15 A2 flash hider on it just for the picture. I need to order one thats for 9mm. I put the tasco red dot that I had lying around on it just for trying it out. I have some Troy fixed sights on order. I moved the bolt handle to the other side since taking this pic.
The hole in the center is the last "sight in" 3rd group at 25 yds;

How exactly do they know, again?
Buried gun becomes useful shortly after you un-bury it.

Yeah, just how do they know? Correct me if I'm wrong.
- If a registered gun is used in a crime and the police obtain the gun they call the gun manufacturer with the serial number and ask the manufacturer what is the name of the distributor they sold that gun to.
- the manufacturer checks their records informs the police the name of the distributor
- the police call the distributor and asks who they sold the gun to and the distriburor checks their records and give the name of the dealer that purchased the gun
- the police call the dealer and asks them who they sold it to, they check their records and find the individual who they sold the gun to.
- The police then questions the individual who owns the gun, so
- Only the dealer that sold you the gun knows who it is registered to.

Glock 19 Gen4 soon to be out of layaway. My next purchases in no particular order will be:
Springfield XDm 3.8 (9mm or .40)
Taurus 85 Ultralight
Mossberg 500 Persuader or Mossberg 590
Marlin 795 .22 rifle (I live near the KY Remington plant so I gotta support the local scene)

My Ruger SR1911 finally came in after a five month wait.
Bought five ar15 stripped lowers to put in the safe for future builds. Four are sequential serial numbers and one is a nice round number - A0005000
Last is a stripped lower to build an AR10 pattern Rifle. It has a 24" barrel, and the rest of the parts are ordered and in transit.
I really have to stop buying guns. It's not like it's hurting financially, but I normally buy only what I need and not things that I just want. And I already have more guns than I need.

First, I too feel at times I have more guns than I need, I just recently purchased five but I also gave my son three and I sold one. I'm down to twenty-eight.
Someone once told me, after I shared my feelings that I had too many guns, that there will come a day in which I may wish I had more but can't find any because of some strict governmental restrictions or laws.
As long as it doesn't hurt me financially I will continue to increase my weapons and ammo, slowly but steadily.
Second, what brand lower did you get? I'm thinking of my first AR build. Where do you purhase your lowers and uppers and part kits? I already have a Bushmaster M4 A3. and 1000 rounds of 5.56mm. Just want to build my own. Also I would like to see how cheaply I could build a "good" AR. No rush, just steady progress.

Since January, a Beretta 92FS, Glock 17 Gen3, Glock 21 Gen 4.
It's weird, since I got into handguns, I've owned/traded/sold over 25 of them. I'm honing my small collection into brands and platforms that I really like and can really rely on.
Next purchases in no particular order:
Colt 1911 Series 70 (stainless)
Glock 17 Gen 2
Beretta 92A1
Smith & Wesson Model 686 Plus w/ 6 inch bbl

Ordered my first (typical new young guy shooter) revolver 642 S&W no lock. Figured I needed a Summer pocket carry and didn't like any "pocket" semi's.
