I'm looking for a fellow gun nut that has Duracoating experience and is confident in their abilities to Duracoat an AK for me. I will pay for the materials, you get to keep the extra, and I'll pay for your time and work.

I am located in Cibolo, which is near New Braunfels, so hopefully you aren't all the way near Kerrville.

I'm looking to have the basic Armorers black finish. Like I said I'll buy the materials and such, I just don't have the skill.

I am sorry I live in Wi and can't help you out, but this process is not difficult to do. I have DuraCoated several guns and it is very simple to do. Just get the kit from Duracoat and your ready to go. My suggestion is to put on many very fine coats rather than trying to get it done in a few coats. Set up a piece of cardboard where your duracoating and adjust your sprayer by practicing on the cardboard and your ready to go.
They sell those cheap air sprayers on EBAY if you don't want to buy one from Duracoat, its the same unit. I did mine on a clothes line on a calm day and it took about a hr to do a rifle.
