Mas:
I am a retired police officer. I have a Glock mod's. 26, 27, & 36 for concealed weapon carry. I have been looking at a mod. 29. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to the 10mm. for concealed carry?

Advantages of G29: Mainly, the cartridge. Though it takes some patience to round up the ammo, the 10mm Auto gives you a TREMENDOUS range of performance options, from mild to wild.

Has proven to be a reliable platform.

Disadvantages compared to what you have now: It is slightly larger and thicker. To me, carrying the G29 or the identically-dimenioned G30 feels more like carrying a Glock 23 than a Glock 27.

With the hotter loads, of course, recoil will be snappier.

Because it is not a popular caliber, that wide range of 10mm loads will often have to be mail-ordered or home-brewed, and replenishing ammo when on the road will be an iffy thing.
