G27 conversion question

I'm trying to decide between a 26 and a 27. I shot a 26 and it was very accurate, even for me! I have .40s in other guns and I'm thinking I'd like to stick to one caliber. I've read you can convert an 27 to 9mm with a conversion barrel. Are these conversions as accurate as a stock G26? Help out a new guy please....

Pick up the 27 because it will complement your other 40's.
You can see a few 27-9 conversion barrels here http://bit.ly/o2a1rB

That's what I'm thinking. But, is it accurate?

The 9 conversion barrels are as accurate as the factory barrels in the original configuration. If you are shooting a 4 inch group with your 40 you can expect a 4 inch group or better with the 9mm conversion barrel.

One more question, I know you have to change mags to 9mm. Do you need to make any other mods like change the extractor, recoil spring, etc? Is it a simple drop in? Thanks JR, sorry for all the questions. I just want to be sure what I'm buying and this will be my first Glock.

Conversion barrel and mag. Thats all you need.
FYI: The G27 conversions are pretty reliable. Occasionally there is a ejection issue when using 115 gr ammo. The problem is with the weak ammo, not the gun or barrel.
