I went to a local gun show and as I was browsing I saw a S&W Model 60 in one of the cases that had an engraved badge emblem that said Louisville Division of Police. I really liked it but $585- seemed REAL high. I've had my eye out for one of the Ky State Police marked Model 60's for a long time.
in my area a plain jane mod 60 goes for about 400 bucks- you are the only one who can decide if the pd amrking is worth the extra 2 bills. I find pd marked guns interesting and if I lived in a place where handgun ownership was easier than NY this would probably be my focus for further accumulation of smith revolvers in my safe
