Reliability with Light Attached ~ G19 & G23 Observations
I have a 3rd generation Glock 23 on which I wanted an attached light. The gun would not function reliably with the light. It was looked at by a very experienced Glock armorer (he used to work for the company). He couldn’t get the gun to work but, after calling another guy in the business that he knows, he had me put in the #8 follower and the 11 coil magazine spring for all my Glock mags. Still malfunctioned.
I tried an experiment and put in a Lone Wolf .357 SIG barrel as well as one of your captive recoil springs. Worked like a charm, gun is now 100% reliable with the light attached.
I have a 3rd generation Glock 19 with a light attached. Works 100% reliably, no modifications at all, with the light attached, with whatever ammo I put through it.
JR, any thoughts on this?
Thanks.
