G19 Spring Replacement

Is there a way I can know when purchasing a new G4 G19 if it has the stronger spring or the softer, replacement spring?
I'm thinking about purchasing a new G4 G19 at an upcoming gun show. I've read a lot about the spring being too strong needing replacement on the initial models but having been "corrected" with the later releases.
I expect that the sales guys at the gun show might not know or might tell me whatever I want to hear.
