Rule #1 in wearing a gun " FOR ME." Never have the muzzle pointing at my groin !
I'll stick with Mex Carry. I guess after soooooo many years of that, I am very used to it with a M1911. The Glock, (if they see carry) simply go in a strong side OWB quality holster. Our wranglers are painted on out here, no room for anything else !
Stay Safe !

Umm.... No I don't think I would use one of those. 1 just for the fear of Barney Fifeing my manhood off. 2 that can't be comfortable sitting down not mentioning wearing a seat belt pulled tight across my waist. 3. I would never carry a firearm with the muzzle pointing towards any part of my person or someone else. That is an accident waiting to happen.

When it is time to draw, they push the gun up with the non-firing hand, grab it with their shooting hand do their business.
What I'm trying to say is, the .50 is not a new concept.

That's pretty cool.

Hmmm. No!
My junk is underutilized but it's still pretty important to me. I don't want anything dangerous facing that direction.
On a secondary note, I am also a fat guy so it wouldn't work for me.
It looks promising for the skinnier fellas that don't mind risking it, though!

During the summer I have been carrying my G33 or G36 in the appendix position in a DeSantis Insider. I recently received a couple of the Ramora holsters and for the two guns I mentioned they work very well. I am 5'7" 170 - 175 lbs and have a 'spare tire'. The appendix position works very well for me while sitting and driving or riding my Harley. I do use a SafeTBlock on all of my Glocks for peace of mind.

I carry appendix 85% of the time and see no problem with this at all. I like JJ also and think he knows what he is doing. $85 is a little steep though.

I'm a bit overweight so I'd probably loose the thing in the "Dunlop".
Besides, I don't like guns pointing to "Mr. Happy".

Nope, not for me. I carry a fullsized M9 at the 3 o'clock position with a tuckable holster. I can wear whatever I want and be comfortable. That doesn't look comfortable.

Now I get it!
All the homies I see reaching down there and pulling up must either be practicing half of the draw or it has dropped down too far and adjusting it in case a draw is needed.

That thing looks about as comfortable as walking around with a dinner plate stuffed down your pants.
No thanks.

No replacement for a proper holster. I like it, but just wouldn't want a holster that required two hands to use and was damn near impossible to draw from while sitting.

But the 500 post guys who are afraid of shooting their weenies off know much more than JJ and have probably been carrying in a job that necessitates deep concealment and comfort for longer than they have ever imagined carrying.

No.
I'd consider that a special application/purpose type of holster, and I have no need for that application now that I'm retired.
While I can understand some folks preferring appendix carry for their needs and circumstances, I've never cared for it, myself. Again, I tend to look at it as a special application carry method.
I prefer something more suitable ... for me ... for carry while seated, or involved in carrying objects requiring 2 hands, strenuous physical activities, as well as bending, crouching, riding my motorcycle, etc. (Especially seated in a motor vehicle and riding a motor cycle.)
I also like to use carry methods which don't require 2 hands in order to access a weapon. Old habit from my LE career.
Besides, most of my jeans don't have room for a full-size revolver or pistol in that position ... let alone doing so comfortably.
Might be fine for someone else who has a perceived need for such a special purpose carry method, though. Just not me. Certainly not for an "everyday" retirement, non-working carry method.
I've long since stopped caring what other folks may choose to do in such matters, though.

Same here. It has a place, but isn't a substitute for a conventional holster.

I guess they missed the part about him having been a us air Marshall and now is one of their trainers.
Yeah I think he knows a thing or three about concealed carry and drawing from a sitting position.

Tried to look for info on the holster and there is none.
Nor is there a way to contact "customer service" to get information about the holster.
JJ may be a great shooter, but that doesn't mean I'm going to bet my life on an undocumented, unproven, and unsupported piece of hardware hawked using his name.

Other issues aside, I think the objections about needing to use two hands are unfair and wrong. One of the draws shown uses the shooting hand to lift the pistol. Apart from that the extra movement is no more than clearing a jacket with the shooting hand before the draw or pulling out the shirt for an inside the shirt holster. This is a deep concealment holster and it is a lot faster than the Thunderwear type which also need a second hand to pull out the waistband.
As for sitting and a draw from a sitting position it is very hard to predict and needs to be tried and possibly experimented with.
My objection, like SAG's just above, is that there is no information worth having. The videos are flashy but not very informative. They could have shown a sitting draw. they could have shown a diagram. The information does not even say whether it will work with anything other than the SIG whatever! can I get one for a G20? Can I get one for a G33? Are they the same or different. Can I get one for a 1911 government model or a KelTec PF-9? How can anyone buy one if they don't know what pistol it fits?

I want consistency from a draw. I want what I practice day in & day out. Drawing from concealment in a normal fashion from the right side hip. You can not fire a gun this way effectively in a SD situation. Look at the videos. All of them the gun is facing sideways as it clears the rig. You have to twist it out to the target from the side.
