Reassembly question
OK, I realize this doesn't happen a lot. While in the state of field stripping a Glock 32 someone slid the slide back on the frame without the barrel and recoil spring in place. We were unable to get the slide back off the frame while in this condition. I eventually lined up the slide with frame in the position they would have been had the gun been re-assembled properly, and pulled the trigger. This freed up the slide and we re-assembled without issue. Several times during the process of trying to get slide off the frame we pulled the trigger without it being properly aligned with the slide. Did we hurt anything during this lapse of better judgement and should we take it out and fire it before carrying it for self defense? We never forced anything. It dry fires as it should and feels norman when racking the slide and resetting the trigger. Are we OK to carry his weapon on duty?
