Is there an affordable reflex sight that isn't a piece of crap?

I tried the cheap route and got an NCStar D4B. At first I loved it, especially the reticle that was more than just a red dot. I love the EOTech style reticle. But, at the range this thing showed it's true colors. It was all good, untl suddenly it went WAY out of zero. I checked all the mounting points and they were all tight. The recoil of the Mini-14 (which is almost zero) must have made it go out of whack. I don't have EOtech money right now...is there another option out there? Everything I seem to find is either cheap crap like I bought, or $300 minimum.
