I've carried many but I keep going back to my 2nd gen 23. Born in feb 91. Its super reliable and very accurate.

Funny. One of my G23s is just slightly older (Aug '90). I bought it in June of '91 as a present to myself returning from Desert's on the table next to me as I type this.

Carry what you're comfortable with. I know a guy who was a detective (now retired) and his departments armorer. He carried a 1929 Colt 1911.
