.223 from a .308 can, how effective?

looking at an AAC SDN-6 with a blackout 51T flash hider on a remington sps actical AAC-SD rifle as the primary. i i want to use the same can on my stag carbine, is the 51t fh for the .223 the only thing i really need? are the overall dimensions the same so a .223 FH will fit a .308 can?

how effective are the larger cans on smaller rounds? i imagine a slightly louder report as the exit hole is slightly larger but is this neglibible or is it a noticable change from using a caliber specific can?

You'll have to ask AAC about which of their products fit together right.

A .308 suppressor will typically work as well as a .223 suppressor on .223, though usually larger.
