Scope powers

Which power scope would be recommended for a Remington Sendaro 300 Win Mag Heavy barrel?

I have a Burris 6.5-20 ordered from a local shop, but have been thinking of less power-maybe up to 14x.

I have two areas to shoot up to 1000 yds which I'm hoping to do.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

This is in one of the stickies in this forum and discusses everything about LR optics
http://demigodllc.com/articles/pract...ooting-optics/

The choice of scope is more about the application of the rifle than what the rifle is. Either of those scopes would serve you OK. If they are second focal plane and you intend to use the reticle for windage compensation, the 14x would be more flexible. For square range "KD" type shooting the 20x would be better. For practical shooting, the 14x would be better.

Anyway- thanks.
