OD Glocks

The OD Glocks are becoming harder to find. Wish I had bought the G27 I saw at a show a few months back. Is this something that is going to become more valuable as time goes on? I like the look but Glock must be stopping production for a reason, I assume sales.

I understand that the sales were not enough to justify production of the OD; though Glock may do large special order - if the order is large enough. That's what I've read - but not directly from Glock.

I personally doubt that the value will increase much, if at all, we're not talking a very small amount of them made.

I think they are curiosities and won't be worth any more than black - but demand drives prices so you can never tell. Right now, there are still a few NIB online.

I have 4 ODs, but none of them are safe-queens so they likely will never be worth more than any other Glock. Doesn't matter - I buy 'em to shoot 'em...

I have a couple now, and like the looks. I am having a hard time finding an od green G23 for some reason. One online had a buy it now of $1000!!! Thats a little bit off the wall imo.

$1K? That's nuts! I love them, but the number of $1000 Glocks is very few.

My daughter's boy friend has a G23 OD and I really like how it looks. If I ran across one at a reasonable price I'd like to add it to my collection.

Yeah, there's a seller on Gunbroker with a 10th Anniversary Glock that was issued by Dynamit Nobel. Only 200 pieces were made. The problem is that this one has been fired. It's been on GB for months at a BIN of $1799. I'm sure the seller is convinced it's worth that, but the reality is something else.

One thing I've learned collecting stuff (other than guns, but I think it applies to guns as well) is that a lot of the things you think are worth a fortune, really aren't. You've got to really, REALLY know the market to be savvy...

I recently found and purchased a NIB OD G22. I haven't fired it and don't plan to for a while. I'm trying to buy a used OD G35 locally, I'll go ahead and shoot that one since it is used. I didn't really care about the OD until they were discontinued, I can't describe the attraction but now I want them. Since I have to chop the finger grooves off the G19/23 models I'm not interested in one of those in OD.

Is this glock located in MA???

I thought only MA charge premium for Glock.

First post here. Just put my first Glock on Layaway at my local store. G21 OF with TFO sites. Store is running a 20% off sale on used guns so price was $395 smoking deal for sure. It'll be nice if the OD models gain in value but this will be a shooter all the same. Thinking about getting a G20 barrel and other parts down the road to make it a 10mm as have always wanted one of those.

I guess sooner or later everything of value becomes collectible, but IMHO this won't happen to OD Glocks for many years. That said, I do think that when the new ones are gone they will sell at a modest premium in NIB or LNIB condition, just because they have a following and aren't made any more. Personally, I like the OD feature and would be willing to spend a little more--but not a lot more--to add another to the few I already have.

I just traded my Gen 4 Glock 27 unfired for a Gen 3 Glock 19 OD green with night sights and previously fired. Both parties were happy with trade. In Houston all Glock 19s have been on the short trade list. I have a Lone Wolf 40 - 9mm Glock 27 barrel unfired left over from the trade that my son had purchased to shoot in the 27. I was not giving away as it was purchased separately from the Glock 27. The 19 had the 3.5 connector installed and Talon grip tape. This is my 2nd Glock 19 in OD Green and coincidentally obtained with a Glock 27 trade that was unfired by me that was subsequently traded for a Lew Horton SA 4" light frame 1911. The nicest thing about the OD Green is that it is somewhat rare and more distinguishable. My normal carry guns are a custom Chas Daly 3.5" 1911 or Kahr K40 or S&W 642 CT airweight. I have a Storm Lake 40-9mm longslide conversion for either of my Glock 22s.

Everywhere I go in Houston the OD G32 is everywhere for the original price. Even found an OD G21 for roughly the same price as the G32. BUT I cannot find an OD G26 or OD G19 for anywhere near the price of 499.00-525.00. People are really proud of them for some crazy reason.

We have one local Glock seller that used to be the official Glock LE distributor. He has at least a dozen OD models in his case. He told me he could not sell them, no market for them here. At another gun shop they have 3 or 4 in their case that have been there from sometime last year at least. Neither one has jacked the prices up from their normal selling prices.

I could see OD Glocks becoming a distributor exclusive for a big distributor like Davidson's, RSR, Lipsey's, or Acusport.

I was thinking the same about OD in one caliber and black for the other. Of the Glocks I may use in competition shooting, the G17 and G34 are black while the G22 and G35 are OD. I'd like to find OD mag plates for the .40 magazines.

I`m thinking about selling my newly acquired Mint Glock 39 OD (2009 model) shot only around 40 rounds and the previous owner shot 25 rounds. I bought it from Gunbroker.com a month ago used in mint condition for $xxx. I added a lot of extras.

I have been checking online and even at Gunbroker.com for a month now, and there is no Glock 39 black and OD to be found for sale. I was bidding on another Glock 39 OD a month ago and out bided by someone who paid it for $600 plus shipping. The moment the auction ended, another dealer listed a Glock 39 OD (25 rounds fired) for $600 shipped (buy it now price), so I grabbed it right away. I guess the G39 OD market value right now is at minimum of $600+ depending on the buyers urges to have it !

Do you think that the rarity of the Glock39 OD would let someone pays it for more? what is the price for it do you guys thing right now as it becomes very rare ? $650 ? $700 ? Even the black Glock 39 45 GAP is harder to find nowadays... How much more finding a mint OD Glock 39 ? Should I keep it ? Or is it the GAP 45 ammo buyers stay away from it?

I really like the Colt New Agent 45 anyone willing to trade plus $$$ on my end?

I got lucky and got a NIB one. The tough part about these is that they were never imported or sold in the US market. I thought I had the only one here, but obviously, there is at least one more... I didn't pay anywhere near $1800 for mine, but on the other hand, I wouldn't sell it that cheap either... Price is a factor of motivation to sell combined with what demand the market brings to the process...

Here's another Glock that was only made in a production run of 200:
Click the image to open in full size.
All sold in Alaska, and interestingly, they sold rather slowly up there... Could buy one at cost for awhile... Now, they're pretty rare/don't see them for sale any more. Still somewhat rare down here in the lower 48, but I've never seen one advertised at $1800... Perhaps in Europe, it would demand such a price?

As far as the OD Glocks go, I think one day they will command higher values, but only for NIB examples, and only after we are all dust. Your children or grandchildren will benefit, but not us. Same is true of most of my commemoratives, but the values will go up quicker (both price-wise and time-wise) on those, I believe...

I had seen 2 glock 39's OD sold/auctioned for $600 4 weeks ago. Original price when it was brand new was only $388 , so tell me if this OD Glock is the same as the Black one's when it comes to market value?

Do they make the G21SF in OD? I got mine this past weekend and the only reason I didn't get one of the maybe 10 OD 21's I saw is the SF. I really like the SF. But, they had some 9's and 40's in OD and I might go back for them in September since they don't make them. I would like atleast one.
