PM45 Pocket Carry - Yes, it can be done.

Played dress-up tonight, and here's what I've learned.

If you want to pocket carry a PM45, a pair of Levi's 550s (relaxed fit) will do you right. Get those and a belt, and you're set. I use a Mika pocket holster. It'll look like a cellphone is in your pocket. As a bonus, you can carry a spare mag in the coin pocket on the right hand side.

Or, a pair of Eddie Bauer cargo shorts will do a perfectly nice job (what I have are similar to these: http://www.eddiebauer.com/product/ex...=men&color=225). They're even better than the Levis in terms of breaking up any pattern. The pockets are so deep you might want a holster with some tackiness/stickiness to keep from drawing the holster with the gun. I use a Remora. A holster with a good tab or hook to keep it in the pocket will probably do the job.

Anybody else pocket carry the PM45? What do you wear?

Is the PM45 about the same size as the Pm9? I used to carry a P9 Covert in a front pants pocket in a pocket holster (Uncle Mikes) when I wear dress pants at work in the warmer weather. Now I carry the G26 in the same manner at work in the warmer weather. In the cooler months, i am always IWB.

I pocket carry a CW45 . I cut the grip frame to take the PM45 mags . The long barrel makes the gun set near top of pocket .

Pretty close. The big difference is the height:

This is small and hide great with no gun printing . The leather helps tame the recoil . This is one of my backup guns for my Glock 23C .

Thanks, Craig O. Looks like the height is about like that of the P9. I always thought that would be difficult to pocket carry, until now. Thanks for the thread.

My pleasure. I have some Cabela's khakis coming in soon so I'll be able to comment on those soon as well. With luck, I'll be able to wear the PM45 just about everywhere, work included.

Interesting! Never seen one quite like that. Where'd you get it?

Levi's 550 glock 36

I regularly carry a Glock 36 in Levi's 550 jeans... In a Desantis pocket holster..With my flush fit 5+1 setup it works great all day long..Before I made the 5 round mag I carried it stock 6+1 and that worked too. the 5+1 is a perfect setup for a pocket .45 if you ask me.

Glock 36 5+1 next to Glock 26 for comparison.
Both have roughly the same height now.

In case anyone was waiting to find out, Cabela's khaki pants have got to be the dream of every pocket-carrying CHL-holder. Deep, wide, and definitely reinforced. Well worth the $34.99 a pair; the PM45 disappears in them.
