Before I send this back to taurus.

I just acquired a Taurus 605 5-shot .357 blued.

The cylinder wont rotate when loaded. The rim on the .357 is supposed to be .060" This gun has .057" between the frame and the non-recessed cylinder.

my S&W 340pd is .065" on the back of the cylinder.

Is this fixable myself?

What will they do with it if I do send it in?

Oh ya you can totally fix it yourself I had the same problem with a Taurus that I bought a while back. What I did was take it back to where I bought it and traded the gun towards a S&W J frame that I should have bought but I convinced myself that for 150$ more the S&W couldn’t be any better than a Taurus. I have looked back upon my decision that day and have never regretted it.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I called the shop, they wont do anything, just told me to send it to Taurus. I probably won't be doing anymore business with them.

It looks like I'll be sending it to Taurus.

I own two 38’s and both of them are nice guns. Taurus will fix it for free if you send it to the Miami Florida Address.(4.95 shipping USPO) call them for details. They will not honor any repairs and you void the warranty making any corrections by you or any other then an authorized Taurus gunsmith. I had to send mine back for a broken firing pin spring (my fault) and they pay shipping back to me. You can follow the progress on line from the time they receive, when they fix it and when it’s shipped back to you “overnight” fed-ex. Great service and fast

If you(the sender) are licensed, in the case of handguns. Otherwise, lube up for a common carrier.
