Rock River no longer produces handguns. They stopped to concentrate on the rifles. Also not to be confused with RIA.

buy a Range Officer for $1000 less, then send it to the SACS and have the FS checkered, and Nowlins barrel fit, refinish and trigger job. you'll still be a couple hundred less.

How long ago was this? I was under the impression that you could no longer get a nib RRA.
You could get the RO but its not the same to someone who really wants an RRA in the stable. I wouldn't buy I don't like this particular one.

I don't think RRA has any "leftovers" available any more, I'm not completely sure. The prices were crazy anyway, way higher than the $1700 on this listing. I picked up my second LM in late October, and I think they only had one or two guns left then, but they were way expensive, as you can see from Quack's post.

I called in early December and they still had hardballs and wadcutters. Seems like something else, but those for sure.

... and as I understood it, their dealer prices were what was once listed as their retail prices...

Inquired last week. RRA required my FFL to call. They have 3 models NIB at factory. Wholesale is $2500, at least that's what my FFL quoted, for the Tactical.

They still have 3 models left. Tactical, Hardball and Wadcutter. That one on GB is one of them. Sorry, but it's not for me. Actually, I don't have any interest in any of the three remaining models.

Way overpriced.
From what I understand RRA was still building guns to fill orders as of last summer. I have NO idea what is the case now.

Good to know my FFL wasn't bs'ing me on the "oh, it's $2500 wholesale?" For a second I thought he was jacking the price up so I'd think it was a good deal and thank my lucky stars I wasn't paying more.
Supply v demand is great but highway robbery is not.

I'd go this route just to not have a Rock River. They have NO customer service and prices are outrageous.
There are plenty of companies out there right now building better 1911s that don't wish you would die as soon as your credit card clears.
I won't buy any of their AR junk because of the 1911 I had that they "built".

RRA 1911's are some of the highest quality 1911's out there. And as for their AR's, if they're good enough for the DEA and multiple Task Forces, SWAT teams and police forces across the country, I'm sure they're of pretty decent quality. As for the "NO customer service", what is YOU'RE exact experience with them on the matter of no customer service? Or is this just another typical BS case of "I heard from a guy at work, who's brother-in-law's cousin, read on such and such forum, that Rock River's were junk and had bad customer service."?

Maybe I was lucky but RRA answered the phone, transferred me without disconnecting and replied to 3 emails in a timely manner.

I've never heard of RRA having poor CS, quite the contrary. Their ARs are "OK".... kinda like the Kimbers of the AR world, but not junk by any means.

I had a lar 8 that wouldn't feed out of the box. My phone call to them lasted less than 2 minutes. The only question they asked was if I had a pen and paper. They paid shipping both ways and had my rifle back to me in 2 1/2 weeks working perfectly. That was about the best customer service one could hope for.
