This picture kinda sucks because I took it before I was actually working. The stuff on my belt is not so jammed up. Especially the gun and ASP. I use a keeper to keep the ASP out of the way of the gun. I'm a bike cop, so having less essential things in back is not as much of a concern (no car sitting).
Anyway, left to right:
2 mags
Keeper w/Key carabiner
G22 in a Safariland 070
Keeper
ASP
S&W dept issued cuffs in crappy Uncle Mike's case
Keeper
Pouch w/medical gloves and dog leash (actually used it. Who knew?)
Kenwood radio in case
$35 Cabella's flashlight in case (Bright enough for me vs. $)
Pepper in case
Olympus digital recorder in a velcro mag pouch (used w/lapel mic)**
Keeper
My own S&W cuffs in open top case
My only complaint is that the bezel of my light sometimes pinches my skin between it and the bottom of my vest (PointBlank Vision IIIA). That leaves a mark, but I'll live.
All this crap gets heavy on 7 hour foot beats, hell on the hip joints, but on a bike I hardly notice it. Our dept. has never used the ASP as it was intended. The use of force circle seems to go from pepper and/or hard hands-on to gun.
Oh, and my favorite piece of equipment besides my vintage G22 2nd Gen is not pictured here. My listen-only in-ear radio earpiece. I work in a resort town with amusement areas. Making a stop right next to one and actually hearing dispatch is impossible without it. It doesn't effect my normal hearing, I can hear dispatch all of the time, and it mutes the normal speaker on my Kenwood, so I can be all stealth and stuff. @#$%-bags can't hear me comin'. Sweet.
**A little story about the recorder and mic. My first week out, my partner and I see a couple of juvis walking down the street with a bottle of Smirnoff. They give us 6 false names and d.o.b.s between them before we take them to the station and get their seriousness on. I was cover, so I wasn't writing. I was watching hands and looking out for pissed off parents and such. Come supplemental narrative time, it was REAL handy to be able to write, "and then Miss X told my partner her name was... and then Miss X told my partner her name was... and then Miss X told my partner her name was..." It gets speech in quiet areas up to about 10 feet. A little less with considerable background noise. Playback with just the unit is ok, better with ear buds, but when I play it on my home computer with good Altec Lansing speakers, I hear EVERYTHING. Come court time for several cases I will definitely be referring back to the audio. Invaluable piece of non-department provided equipment.
Anywho, that's my rig. When I go from Reserve to full-time, I'm assuming some of this will have to change. I've also lost over 24 pounds being on the bike, so there is less room for crap on the belt these days... 6'1" goin' from 209 to 185. Love it.

The carry weight of some of these rigs has got to be challenging at times, especially if you are running in a chase... God bless you all for what you do.

Can't tell you how many times I've jumped out of my car and started running only to fall on my face

Or jump out of your car only to be strangled or tethered by your seatbelt which was either still fastened or hooked on some part of your duty belt.

That's why I don't wear a seatbelt!
Besides, it wrinkles a nice uniform.

Being a cop made me such a bad seatbelt wearer.
The wife is annoyed by the chime every time I take the belt off about 2 blocks from where were going. Good work habit, bad personal one!

Just clip it in behind you like we do with the squad cars.

I went to the junk yard and got the seat belt clip. This way it does not ruin the seat belt.

Whenever I get a new patrol car, I disable that stupid chime. It drives me up the wall

This is true... I always take my seatbelt off out of habit as we're pulling in the parking lot or getting close to it... drives my friends and girlfriend crazy.
Please wear your seatbelts though guys... we're having way to many officers killed in traffic crashes not to

How about jumping out of the car just a few microseconds before the car comes to a complete stop? That really drives the non-LEO drivers crazy because they slam on the brakes thinking you bailed on them and you're going to die. That's one I had to undo but took a while.

Does anyone use the Safariland Magazine holder that holds the cuffs behind it? I'm interested in buying one but am curious as to how much it sticks out. I don't want to pay 50 bucks for one and hate it :(

Its actually a supressor, but yes they are issue like you see it. They cut down on the sound a ton, but it does make the rifle muzzle heavy.

You're right... I got too excited at the sight and forgot the correct term is suppressed, not silenced... but still, that is awesome. I don't think I've seen anything like that as standard issue, even to the SEB guys here who has the best in toys.

I'd rather have an SBR than a suppressor. Tac gets them, we can't :(
