Oh yes... helps to read, doesn't it! I was movin' too fast. Nice Defender! Sure love the one-piece, full length mag tube!

I am thinking of using the Rem Low Recoil also. Is there really a big difference in the low recoil vs. reg. buckshot? I am hoping my wife might be able to handle it with the low recoil loaded in the 870.

The reduced recoil stuff works well...

OK, so the Model 11 is not exactly "tactical". Except it was born in 1940 and back then, it was pretty Hoowah!

870 Police Magnum X2 18"

I really like it! A lot of people talk about them being cheap but I had it on my 500 for a while and had zero problems. Now that its on the 590 it still works just fine.

Just did a bit of an update on my old 870. It started out life as a blued 870 Magnum from the mid-'80's. I sent it off for Scattergun Tech's (before Wilson bought them) Remington Steal package about 12 years ago.

It's mainly just been a deer gun, as I always carried a patrol rifle when I was on the road. It looked at me with sad eyes the other day when I was poking around in my safe, so I decided to reward it for putting up with me all these years.

That little Hogue stock feels great! I think the only thing I'll do to it from this point is some XS Express sights.

Here's my Winchester 1200 Defender.

It came with a tactar side saddle, but I decided that was just too tactical, so I took it off.

If you want to dress it up that is one thing. But don't buy into this tactical looking fad. You have a fine, tactical, get-er done shotgun just the way she is. IMO Just sayin

I love literally everything about this shotgun. I'm considering finding another one just so I can have two of them. I might put a birdshead grip on it like DHart did to one of his 1300s.

I'm not anti-tactical, but it kinda felt like I was putting on airs with this nice classy-looking wood furniture and then having stuff hanging off it. It was a little anachronistic, I guess.

Anyway, they really are awesome shotguns.

I love my Sears 200 (Win 1200), best shotgun I've ever used, and I've gone through several. I did tacticool mine out though, I use it for a car gun, so it has a sidesaddle, light, and sling.

Did you have any ammo cycling issues after putting on the side saddle on your M1? I read that the Benelli was sensitive to this addition.

Great pic
