South MO Range Day Anyone?
We all talk about it all the time, but how often do we have get togethers?
Anyone in Southern MO/Northern Arkansas want to setup a range day or what not?
I am think maybe Early Feb, if not too cold.

once I find out who in all is interested, I will look for a suitable sized and centrally located range.

i work at the walmart in Mtn Grove on overnights and spend some quality time their as well. in this area, I only know of one range that can accommodate more than a half dozen people, its free so long as you pick up your brass to the best of your ability, and allows for up to likely 15+ shooters at a time on the pistol side.
its called White Ranch, and is just South of West Plains.
I go there often as it is only about a 25-35 min drive for me and worth the drive.
Id have to post a detailed set of directions, as its out in the state forest, and off a dirt road, but not hard to get to and I take my Ford Focus out there all the time!
this is the google map of the White Ranch Conservation: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&sa...ed=0CBQQnwIwAA
Basically, you take 17 South from West Plains for about 10-15 mins until the road takes a 90 degree bend to the left and you see a dirt road on the right with a wooden sign saying White Ranch State Conservation Area (I believe) then stay on that dirt road until you see a small sign on the right, pointing to turn left to 'Shooting Range' then go about 1.5 miles and the range is on your right with parking for prolly 50 cars between the lot and the shoulders. I'd also give my Cell # to anyone planning to attend in the event they needed further instruction.

I am supposed to be going there on the 10th as I shoot 2-3 times a month out there, unless of course I am scheduled to go to MEPS the 10th-12th.

North central Arkansas here, 40-50 miles south west of West Plains. I would be up for a day at the range.

ok, so what days of the week work for everyone?
I work nights, and my schedule shifts, but usually have Monday and Weds nights off, and lately, Monday through Weds nights off.

If I know far enough in advance, I can make plans to be there. I was thinking it would be more like 4 hours.

About 2 hours or so for me. I'm in Lake Ozark area as well. Toward the end of the month sounds good. Anyone ever shoot at Lead Mine? (Dallas Co.)

What area of the lake are you in? I shoot at the Scrivner road conservation range a lot. It is about 7 miles east of Eldon of HWY AA.

Pistols Plus or Lead Mine. No more backyard to shoot in.
