RIA: How Do I Tell One Model from the Other?
There's the full size with the 8 round mag and useless sights, there's a compact. I always assumed that was GI and officers', respectively. Thought I should actually ask.
And then "tactical" gets thrown in there sometimes.

Thanks. What does "GI," etc refer to?

They do offer a Commander size now, as well as a 9mm Gov't and Tactical.

Government Issue model (GI) = 5" Full size
Commander model = 4 1/4" mid size
Officer's model = 3 1/2" compact size
"Tactical" added to any of these RIA versions means the BTGS, Commander hammer, Skeletonized trigger, and usuable Novak "style" sights.
so far the Commander size/mid size is NOT offered in "Tactical".

Fixed it for ya. Their midsize isn't a true commander. It has a 4" bull barrel. Armscor used to offer a midsize that had the "Tactical" options. I haven't seen one for sale anywhere in awhile though.
