Good morning.

My first CCW was an old M19, and did the job admirably except for some corrosion that eventually developed due to sweat exposure. That pistol is largely enjoying well-earned time in the pasture, but if I wanted to make it carry-servicable again, what would you recommend? Is NP3 o.k. vs. daily sweat exposure, or would it need NP3+? Would nickle-plating, or something else be more cost-effective?

NP3 should work perfectly, as would similar electroless nickel plating or electroless nickel based products. With NP3 and some of the other more advanced finishes you would get the benefit of lubricity on the finish which can really slick up a revolver action.
