Next year, a Tribute to JMB's masterpiece, the BoG's 1911 Centennial Cup!

i think you couldn't ask for more. best parts and no compromise on the work done. steel quality on the slide and frame is great and forged at that.

Thanks, Pogi. That setting was right outside the Cortes shop in Mandaue. Those who've gone there would remember the smell...
I'll be bringing it to Tony O soon for filling in the pitting at the right side. It runs well on the original GI extractor. I gave the old Colt slide stop to a doctor who had the slide stop break on his Norinco, still holds up until now.
(When I do let go of it, it will come with four (4) Chip McCormick mags)

Not really a build, but here's my upgraded Kimber TLE/RL-II. It now sports EB Ambi, Memory groove grip safety and S&A Magwell. Plus replaced the stock hammer & sear with STI (USA) parts. All parts are in 'Tactical' black, except that I found out that that plunger tube is actually stainless, painted in black :(.
Here she was when yet out of the box :

I think our friend got a little carried away when he was building that particular 1911.

I've always wanted a "77" slide, but at the time of my build, none were to be had in Cebu, so I went with Essex, heck, I almost bought a Shooters slide...
I'm waiting for Sweater to chime in and show us his collection.

So simple but very nice gun. Yup nice smell I'm immuned to the smell, I used to hunt, fish & even swim near those memorable smell before their shop was transferred from the hi-way to that paradise.
