New furniture for my Mak90

I spent a few hours fitting my new stock to my Mak90 yesterday and am very happy with how it turned out. I went shooting bright and early this morning and am much happier with the longer buttstock. I don't feel all cramped up now. Fitment was pretty easy I just had to shave some of the poly parts to make them fit into the thicker-walled Mak90 receiver and had to open up the stock for the trunion tang just a bit. Here are a few pictures I took this morning.

I'm going to hold on to them. They will probably go back on her if I ever find a good deal on a Chicom buttstock.

Why thank you sir. I'm 6'3" so I really needed the longer reach of the RPK styled stock.

I noticed no muzzle brake or slant brake. Can that barrel be threaded to accept a brake? Does anyone know? I really like the Norinco rifles, had one a long time ago and now want another one. Nice rifle. Glad you like the furniture from IO.

It could be threaded or a pinned type could be installed. As far as IO is concerned, their furniture is well made but their receivers need some work. The good thing about this set is that it gives me 3 compliant parts. Couple that with the US piston and mag followers and I'm legal.

Looks great. I have one with Midwest industries handguards, 6 position stock, magpul forward grip and waiting on a primary arms red dot. Another is fitted with ironwood furniture.

I looked at the 6-position stocks and decided that I really liked the RPK look and the buttstock just fit me right. I may order an Ironwood set one day but for now I'm happy with what I have.
