Gen 2 Police trade in G23?
In my search of lightly used Glocks to purchase, I discovered a gunshop in my state about 2 hours away is selling very good condition G23 gen 2 police trade ins with 2 mags for 299.99 and They do free shipping! I already have a Gen3 glock 23 thats been chopped and duracoated etc. So I am thinking about buying one of these. Gen 2's were still very nice reliable glocks correct? Only differences with them is the thumb rest etc?
Also if anyone else wants to jump on these let me know! IDK if I am allowed to post links to other websites on this forum so I havent yet. If someone could confirm that that is ok I will put a link up for you all!

I have a 2nd gen 19 and 23. I have never had a problem with either, ever. The 2nd gen also do not have the finger grooves. Depending on the year it was made, Glock might offer upgrades for it. They will send the parts to a local glock armorer for free. They will install them for free but you would have to ship it to them. That seems like a fair price with free shipping.
How do you like the grip chop on your G23? I was thinking about doing that to my 19.

Awesome! I did not know Glock did that, I think I am going to pick one of these up and throw some decal tape on the sides for better grip and be good to go! I love the grip chop on it, it makes it very very concealable and still retains the accuracy of a g23, plus I can use all .40sw mags now! So it is pretty convenient.

I was looking on their website, but it doesn't list a physical address. I would make the drive over to save me a transfer fee since I already have to pay sales tax.

I bought one for $299 delivered. Gen 2, G23 PD marked from The Sportsman Outdoor Superstore, PH 1-855-755-0523. It is marked Clinton Township Police Department. Comes with 2 mags. Aim Surplus has used G23 mags for $11.95 and used G17 & G22 mags for $12.95 ea.
