G26 primer strike question

Just bought a new G26 shot it last night and noticed a rectangular bulge around the indent left by the f.p. presumably left from the firing pin channel? I have never seen this before just wondering if it's cause for concern?

You are looking at the rectangle shaped impression left by the firing pin hole in the breach face of the slide.

Kind of cool huh? This is very unique impression, it easily identifies the cartridge as being fired from a Glock.

With this knowledge in mind, you can walk onto any range and pick up a spent cartridge and know if it was fired from a Glock. Bet you probably feel like a forensic detective don’t you?
