ammo question
hey every one sorry that this isnt about reloading but i think that the info im looking for will be here. i live in NJ so the gun laws here are gun are the devil and no one shud have them, stuped i know. hollow point are also illegal and i may need to carry for my new job. what will do the most damage besides hollow points i wanna make shud if i have to fire it will put them down

Your new job doesn't require any sort of "writing", does it? No filling out forms and such? The dealers in Jersey must have had a fun time walking you through the 4473 form.....a few times.
Perhaps expanding full metal jacket? I think Federal makes it?

federal make a really good expanding full metal jacket that does nearly the same amount of damage as a hollow point. and if your state will allow them it would be a great load.

PowerBall may comply as well as EFMJ. If you are carrying a 45acp, nothing wrong w/ ball ammo there, although I would prefer flat point FMJ. If you handload, & I would make an exception to carrying handloads in NJ, the Lee 200grRNFP @ 900fps would be a good stopper, huge flat point.
