Mr. Emerson, thank you for participating in Glocktalk and sharing your expertise. What is your opinion of the Applegate-Fairbairn fixed blade as a fighting knife? I have a Blackjack-made version of this knife which I have had for at least a decade. I understand that Boker is making them now.

The A-F knife is a fine design and would serve you well in almost any self-defense situation. Boker makes good knives and I believe Blackjack made good knives as well, so in the end, a good design, quality made, makes it a good choice.
Thank you, sir. I certainly liked the design features of this knife, which was in my opinion a significant improvement over the Fairbairn-Sykes in every way. I appreciate your opinion.
