Good luck resisting that one.

Nice gun...but nothing special about it as far as a 1911 goes and are a decent value for the price.

ETA: Ok...thought it was a Rock Island.

1650 is so way overpriced its ridiculous. At that price I there are far better options.

They stopped making them several years ago and concentrated entirely on AR's.

Now they are back!

Looks nice. My only two 1911's are SS Springfield A1's, NM target models, a 45 and a 9mm. I think I'd like a smoother finish carry model. Was considering the Range Officer, might have to take a look at this RRA..........

The 2 1/2 inch group at 50 yards guarantee is pretty impressive to me especially on what amounts to a high end production gun.

$1650 though?

I think I'm still leaning toward the Range Officer.

How much is the RO going for? I'd think this is a better gun, so the question is the price difference.

Too many people confuse Rock River with Rock Island. That's like comparing Beyoncé to Rosie McDonald.

Yeah, I had a Rock Island once. It was actually my first 1911. That thing would eat everything I fed it. I think I paid around 350 for it. Eventually sold it and bought a Springfield. I love the feel of a 1911, just not sure I can bring myself to spend over a grand on one.

Springfield makes nice 1911s, I just wish they'd undercut their trigger guards more.

The last time they were in production there was no MIM that I am aware of, but I wasn't paying that close attention as there were other things garnering my attention.

For that price it should be a lot nicer. It looks like a Rock Island not a Rock River.
