Powder Pistol 9mm
Played around with some Powder Pistol in the 9mm today. All I can say is Oh my what a flash . Don't think I'll use it on a regular basis, I'll keep it for when I want to be cool and show my friends how fierce the 9mm is .

Hmmm, I have a pound of that but haven't tried it out yet. What does it do.

It meters nice, was pretty inexpensive at 18 a pound.
Recoil was hard (for a 9mm), but the flames were the most impressive. Under overcast skies there was a very noticeable fast symmetrical flame coming from the barrel. Would have been really cool at night. I don't remember seeing such a flash in the past....it looked like it meant business. I was using 6.3 grains under a 124 xtp and some pulled MG 115 CMJ's I had. Winchester once fired (only once really) and a CCI 500. A little rough on the hands, don't think I would like a whole day of them but it was fun . Just loaded another 100 before I change the powder out of the press...don't think I'll use these just keep them around.
It is back to lead and WST with a 115, for plinking. Fun experiment though!

Power Pistol definetly gives a big flash, i been using it for a while. I shot some 115 fmj,s last week that i had loaded 2 years ago, it was a 6.2 charge if im not mistaken, and there was a noticeable flash and recoil. I personally find 231 to be more accurate but thats just me.

I have ten pounds of the stuff. It is a very versicle powder. you can go from mouse farts to barn burners and still be in a good power curve.
Yea it has a big boom but so what its a full range powder for common calibers semi-autos.

I just typed it up for another thread so while it is in my clipboard.
Montana gold 124 gr Power Pistol OAL 1.12
Gains velocity Group size
5.2 1024 1.45
5.4 1056 1.0
5.6 1075 .98
5.8 056 .95
6.0 024 .79
WSF is softer but PP is plenty accurate.
