Thanks, I hope I do too, and soon. Right now I'm sleeping even less than usual because of it, except a couple times when I got a needleful of welcome pain meds. Wish I could get that every day right now.

One thing that I'm relieved about, I haven't yet seen an AK-47 on this base.

I'm glad, but remember it can only hurt you in the hands of a bad guy.

It could hurt me in the hands of anyone who points it at me and pulls the trigger! Plus, the panic attack I have around them can hurt.

And yes, we have Afghani people working on base. Just none with AK-47's like at my last base.

Tell them GTDS says they are not allowed on base. That should scare them.

Thay'll throw down their AK's and run screaming in fear. Shake'll be there to add those AK's to his collection.

how are you doing over there, kid?

God's getting a little tired of hearing me ask to keep an eye on you.

I told him to get over it...pretty sure i'm off his Christmas card list.

So far I haven't been shot again or blown up, so that's good. As for the medical care, it's hit or miss so far. Depends when I go it, it seems.

God's pprobably tired of a few more if he's tired of you. I just hope he doesn't just think "Maybe I'll just have a Hajji take her out so no onw has to worry about her anymore".

Be careful what you wish for, the last time he plopped my butt at home, it was because I had cancer!

You mean I can't keep telling it to stay the hell away from me?

I completely forgot what you wanted me to write with everything else going on here.

Sleep is a rarity, as usual. Except the times I go in and catch the right doc, and he gives me something for the pain that also gives me a nap. Of the 2 docs here, one gives a crap, wants to help, the other keeps saying I shouldn't be here, they don't have time enough to deal with me, he doesn't want to do crap for me... I try to avoid him as much as possible, obviously. He could get a job at the VA.

Writing assignment.

Good thing I saved it.

I'm going to give it to you in pieces this time so it won't seem so overwhelming to you. You can do this.

I know you feel guilt because you made that phone call that forever changed your life and led to Greg's death.

Sounds like time for another writing assignment. Don't try to do this in one sitting. You can write some, leave, and come back to it, but date all entries. It will be emotional.

I want you to write a letter. Write it with pen or pencil and paper so the emotions and thoughts come from your mind down your arms to your fingertips and onto the paper. Of course, you're not going to mail it. And you're not going to post it here. A spiral notebook might be good for this.
Don't worry about trying to get "what Bob wants".
The letter has a beginning, but it may not have an end.

The first part of the letter is from your wounded self to your former self. The person who existed before the ramp came down on the MRAP. "Dear former XXXXXXX," .

Tell her what happened to you and Greg.
Tell her all of the things you can't do now that you used to do. Tell her how much you miss them.
Tell her everything you go through every day and night.
Tell her things that have happened to you as a consequence of her actions. Good and bad.
Ask her why she made the phone call.

Sign your name "Wounded XXXXXXXX"

If you think of something else just make another entry below that one.

Just start. When you get that one on its way let me know and I'll give you the next piece.

If you can't see pain, it doesn't exist. Seems to be the way some people act.

I agree, that seems to be the way some people view your claims to pain. They can't see your pain so you must be imagining it or lying about it. I get so sick of hearing clueless people saying they believe I'm faking it.

I'm praying for Wolfe...as well as several others who need the prayers. Praying the idiot doctor is shown the light and realizes that she needs to be treated. (someone want to help bring on the "light" by the use of 2 x 4 therapy?)

Yeah, I get some of that, too. The one doc here says he can tell I actually hurt, but that I shouldn't be here and expect any treatment for it. Luckily the other one seems willing to take care of me. I started physical therapy today, OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My new terrorist didn't work me hard at all, it's just the first time I've done any therapy in a while. I feel like someone........ Oh, never mind!

Yes, there's a mirror in the latrine by the DFAC, so I see the nut every time I go in there. Funny, I was walking around with a cup of nuts yesterday after lunch, and thought about posting something about this DFAC serving nuts. I also still remember the questions you asked me about the nuts, do you?

The hair is coming, slowly. Too slowly!

Outwardly I am not a religious person. I think of myself as more spiritual person.
Each time I read a post of someone asking for prayers or saing they are in pain, I pray for them. Even if I don't post to the thread.
Lone Wolf, Lady Glock, prayers for you said every day.
Pain is so hard to convince most doctors that you have. They don't see it, it isn't there.
Sometimes I am so tired of hurting, the constant pain. Everything all of us who have chronic pain go through. No choice though, have to keep going.
Sorry this isn't about me, it is about ya'll. know that you are being thought of and prayers said for you. May your health improve and the pain lessen and leave you.
