She's just having a little fun. Don't worry, you'll be taking pics like that soon enough!
Just another day of couch camping here. Too weak and dizzy to do anything else.

It's made better by the sheer quantity of pain meds I have in me right now. My chest is throwing fits here. Between the lack of physical therapy and the changing weather it's been a rough one.
One good bit of news though, I finally did get a disability rating back from the VA. Not high as it should be, but enough that they have to take care of my injury. I'll be looking to get it raised later. The doc even admitted to me that I should get 100%
 back, my friend.

Guess you could say that, I'm a dame and I've had some nasty dizzy spells. Bad enough that I got to have that brain MRI because of them.
You'd think that I could sleep, as exhausted as I feel all the time. But when I try to sleep, those old demons remind me that they're still in my head.

What I can do right now is hold down a couch and eat pain meds. I'll sure be glad to finish this regimen of chemo!

Hi Sweetheart! I'm much better now, Miss S_R, thank you. As Miss Lone said, my neighbors checked on me, it was hot and humid but at least I had water. My sister and BIL have a well, so no water either and the power company is projecting to have service restored on Sunday. A violent thunderstorm hit Friday evening packing hurricane force winds, it wrecked southern West Virginia and parts of all the border states.

Yep, After this cocktail I still have 12 weeks of Taxol. Then surgeries...... I'll have the MRI next week. I also have a consult with a plastic surgeon soon. Might as well start planning that part.
Hope everyone had a great 4th! Mine was about the same, I felt like Death Warmed Over and held down a couch. A friend's son brought ribs from a local BBQ joint that were pretty good, so I had a few. A lot of foods don't taste right to me because of the chemo.
I'm sure glad the fireworks around here finally ended. I was trying to find a bunker, or expecting to get shot again for the last couple days every time I heard one go off.

Hey Lone W.
When I do chemo, the only thing that settles my stomach is saltine crackers.
I only was able to taste foods that had a very strong taste.
Each time it took me a month to get my normal taste back.
Take care, hope you feel better.

I am wonderful Sweetheart! Thank you for asking. My sister went home this evening, their power came back yesterday afternoon. Power is still off in many places including some neighborhoods in Charleston. Mostly rural areas though. Crews from across the nation are helping restore service now and everyone should be up by Sunday evening. The neighbors dog got away from her this morning and decided he wanted cat for breakfast. Mitch still has all his appendages and Zeus still has his nose.
I wish you could have enjoyed the ribs Sweetheart and I'm sorry the fireworks had such a negative effect on you.

Glad you got some disability rating, I was starting to worry. Those cost can add up real fast. I know you got a long road to travel yet but we are right there with you.
Got my knee drained today and going to have a bone scan on the 10th. See the back doctor tomorrow. Least I'm not getting chemo.

I'm not having the unsettled stomach as much as other side effects, but I'll keep this in mind if the next regimen affects me differently. I can taste some things and not others, sometimes there's no consistancy there. Some days I can't stand the taste of something I liked the day before. Makes no sense at all. Of well, at least I can eat something.
Sending up prayers that you've beaten cancer once and for all.

Wow, that was a long outage. I had one like that when Hurricane Opal scored a direct hit on my area. We were out for a week, but luckily it was October. Temps were comfortable with no heat or AC.
Does Zeus still have ALL his nose, or would anyone notice if half was missing. Glad Mitch is still in one piece, though. I'm also glad the fireworks seem to be over, at least for now.

Yeah, I was getting worried about it, too. The doc told me that I deserved 100%, but taxpayers couldn't afford everyone who does. I'll use those words against him later. I'm more concerned about getting my meds and treatment from the VA than the money I'll get each month. The pain meds cost way more than my disability check will be.
I appreciate you and everyone who's stuck with me during this long road back from hell. I hope I won't be on it forever, but sometimes think I will be. Hope all goes well with your knee and back treatments. I'm glad you're not getting chemo, too!

Docs job is to submit your claim as he/she really sees it. It's one thing for the administrators cut it down but quite another for the doc. Reason is should funding change in the future they can revisit your claim and adjust it. They cannot adjust the doc's claim.

Hey sweety , how you doing ? I've not been in touch lately , just had surgery again yesterday again and I just can't get up much anymore . My butt is kicked this time and I been making plans with my lawyers and such , you know how lawyers are , they take forever and really don't do much.I have a new problem but like everything in life there's good news and bad news.
The good news , I have a whole life insurance policy that is fully paid for the minute since my injury that I didn't know about , that takes a lot of stress off my wife.
Now you keep holding down the couch as long as you have to
get better , I know you will beat this .
