I've not been able to fly anywhere since 1999 and I could barely sit that long then. Kansas to Maryland. Even if I could, I have no funds for it. (Disability) Maybe I could try out of body experience. My son lives in Oregon and I've not seen him for six years and he can't seem to make it down here either.

made it to Dubai today, and she was kind enough to let me on the airplane with her.

We went from sleeping in a B-Hut last night with a lumpy-ass twin bed t a 5-Star hotel and a king bed. She found her way to the bed even before I did.






While she was inspecting the bed I found the fruit bowl and the welcome drink. Of course this pic would have been better if I'd taken it before I drank the beer and decimated the fruits, but you get the idea.....

When I had my most recent MRI my doc noticed a spot so tiny he said it was probaly nothing, but would monitor it to be sure. Well, it's a lump that's growing and in the last several days became detectable to touch. He looked at again today and thinks it might be breast cancer.

Oh man.............. this is leaving me just shaking my head in disbelief. What MORE could life possibly demand of you, damnit!

Please let us know the very moment you can as to what's the scoop on this. Has anybody over there managed to decide that IT'S TIME TO SEND YOU HOME FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!??

They didn't have that test when my Mom had BC, yet she lasted for over 12 years before something else entirely got her. It was not BC coming back.

The doc here seems to. After the first doc that looked at me sent me down for mammogram, ultrasound/biopsy the doc that did all that got right to work.

I had one doc do the prelimanary exam on me, then refer me to radiology. A lady doc from Sweden took it from there, did the mammogram, ultrasound, then the biopsy. As she was doing the ultrasound she said the lump "looks malignant", but of course can't be sure until the biopsy results come back. Both docs are pretty convinced it's cancer, but the lady doc is hopeful that it's removeable and hasn't spread.

If the biopsy comes back positive she wants to do a CAT scan and an MRI to see if it's spread before they start cutting on me. Hopefully I'll know the biopsy results Thursday.

When she did the biopsy she numbed the area so it wouldn't hurt, but of course the novocaine wore off. She gave me some stuff to take on top of my Fentanyl, and it was kicking in before I got back to the hotel. One of the valets helped me out of the taxi and I walked over to the reception desk and asked for ice for the recommended ice pack. Right after I got to my room someone showed up with the ice, extra bottled water, and a fresh bowl of fruit. I was glad of that, it was probably the only thing I could eat until later tonight.

I laid down for a couple hours with ice on the spot, then went down and had dinner and a couple beers. That and moving around a bit seemed to help, it's not hurting much now.

Yeah, it's really modern and nice. If you can call a hospital nice. But it sure beats the hell out of the hospitals and clinics on bases I've been to!

My hotel is really nice too. I took some more pics, but I'll wait until after I leave to post them. I don't think it'd be a good idea to say where I am in here.

The doc doing the ultrasound asked me some stuff about it and said she thought they did a good job reassembling me. (Her words) But the ultrasound doesn't show much, at least not this one.

I'm a bit worried about that, and tried not to think about it today. I spent the day alternating between laying in a recliner beside the pool letting the waiter bring me drinks, and swimming over and getting them myself. Now it's time for a shower before I got down to dinner. Does anyone think I'm going to take a combat shower?

Hint; I wonder if this hotel has ever run out of water before.
