I hope you are enjoying the nuts. As a taxpayer, I'm happy that you have access to them.
I did a little of the writing exercise, but need to try to get some sleep now, so I'll finish later. BTW, I did get a dish of nuts, but they were kinda stale and shriveled, so I tossed them on the concrete and squished them.

If you attempted to save an unconscious child from drowning in a swollen river and were successful, even if it cost you your own life, how would you feel (I know you’d be dead, but humor me)?

So I guess saying “I’d feel pretty cool about it” wouldn’t fly? I’d be glad I succeeded, especially with a child.

This sort of thing does happen. Read http://www.news4jax.com/news/23890694/detail.html

Couldn’t get the *&^%$#@! link to work….

How would you feel if the child felt guilty and responsible for your death?

I’d wish he didn’t but I wouldn’t be surprised, especially if it was his mistake that put him in the river.

Would you be foolish for saving the child?

Not really. I couldn’t not try to save a child if I had the chance. I’ve already been in one river retrieving a toddler that fell in, but as you can see, I didn’t drown either. (yes, the kid was OK)

How would you feel if the child died but you had not tried to save him?

Like **** if I thought I’d had a chance but didn’t take it.

Yes ma'am, may tomorrow be better. Of course my hugs are squeeze free! I would not persecute your demons without at least Miss Silent_Runner along to join in the fun.

The link worked for me. I'll try to find another way to get it to you.

LW for some reason I've spent a lot of time wondering about the 'old' you
based upon what I know and the new you based upon what I know. As you continue to heal we are going to have to talk about this and we might need
Bob.

We'll talk.

Eventhough some days you don't feel like it's worth it, you make such a difference to so many of us.

Where is our Glock26girl?????

No, I'm not going anywhere. Just pointing out a good resource.

Thanks for the compliment. I try.

My wifes mom is still in the nursing home. She had a setback because she got an infection on her foot and the dr told her to stay off her foot until it heals. We also figured out too that her dad was taking too much medicine. It seems like they need to be together to function. It's been hard on my wife, especially since another family member is a being a complete ******* and is not speaking to us, so she has to walk on eggshells.

Thanksgiving was great. We had all the grandkids and too much food.

Not yet, but if I have another really bad night he probably will tomorrow. I think at least part of this problem the last few days is some BS going on at work here. Somewhere in Hollywood a drama is missing it's cast. And they're right here in one of the offices I work in regularly......

I do my best to stay out of crap like that, but sometimes it's just not possible.

So, I take it you're a bystander in all of that? If not, do they know who they're messing with?

Now that's one post any of us here could probably have written. I had one woman who used to work in my office that constantly stirred up trouble. It gave me great pleasure to tell her she no longer worked here.
