Thanks for the congrats.

Okay, but don't say I didn't invite you.

Wow, you REALLY want to get me shot again, don't you?

Oh hell, in that car the IED would take me out so there'd be no need to shoot me.

So, I guess this means you're turning down my lunch invitation?????

That car looks like an IED!

I was going to invite Sawgrass to come down here to Texas while she's in Kansas City, but I'm going to be gone. It's only 625 miles. I'll bet she would come too. Especially since it's going to be in the 90's, and I know how much she likes the heat.

I hope you got a laugh out of all this. I know I did.

No, I'm not turning you down for lunch.... if you drive from Istanbul to Baghdad to meet me..... I'd be glad to meet you!

That car is rough but IEDs can be a lot worse than that. The one that hit my MRAP would have messed that car up waaaayyyy worse than that.

Actually it's not as hard to write as it would seem. Sure it gives me the willies a bit describing things like what happened to me, but writing in 2nd person it's easier to detach myself and just write it without really feeling it as much as you'd expect.

Thank you for the compliment. I think it'll help and certainly can't hurt. I know a few of you have questioned what my shrink's doing and why it seems like he's just biding his time. We talked about that just recently and he said that I need first of all to sleep somehow, which is finally starting to happen, and I need to think about what happened, talk about it, write about it in here, until my brain is saturated and finally starts to make sense of things I would have long since come to terms with if not for the psychosis. He takes the approach of letting me decide what I want to talk about each session. I find that I'm a lot more willing to actually talk to him that way. I was talking to his about this thread and telling him about what several of you have said to me in here, I repeated parts of many different posts and he finally said he could tell how much you all were helping me and he'd like to put several of you on the payroll. There's a bunch of you that he thinks missed your calling and he also expressed his gratitude for what all of you are doing for me. I wanted to be sure to pass that on to all of you.

Wolfe I don't have immediate plans to meet glock26girl, but you're right
if we did we would probably talk about you.

What I mean is, if Skidoo is going to drive you all around, Minnesota is
just a little past Iowa.

So we just finished cleaning 40 fish. We hit a spot of large sunnies,
and black crappies. We scale and then fillet them leaving the skin
on one side. It's funny after a day of it, we rarely want to eat them
the same day. We're having a fish fry tomorrow night. You have no
idea how much I wish you could be here. It was low 80's very low
humidity and a light breeze. It doesn't get any better than that.

I hope you are feeling better.

Miss Lone_, if you are agreeable, when we drive to Iowa and Minnesota we'll take your Mustang as opposed to the one Bob wants you to use. Gentle ones my dear, as always.

I think we will meet one of these days.

LW, I like the cussing, drinking, raising a little heck side of you.

G26 is right. We see it, and we're here.

You'd talk about me, eh? That smiley fits me so well, since I'm actually psycho... haha

Hmmmmmmm, I hadn't thought of putting Skidoo to work as my chauffer, but now that you mention it I could have him drive me to your place to help you eat some of those fish. And of course wash it down with plenty of good beer....

Damn, I wish I could be there too. And the weather sounds great.

Yep sounds great! Fish a little, drink a little, talk smart...you know.

Todays the big day. My Mother is getting married. Both of my parents
will have been married three times now. It's odd actually how relatives
come and go because someone marries and divorces.

This guy seems very nice though. She seems very happy. They will be here
in a few days for two weeks. I'm having a party/barbeque for them on June
5th. I wish you could make that too. They want to meet some of our friends. They may be surprised since I tend to hang with crusty old
trades guys.

We were cleaned out last night. We have a raccoon the size of a German
Shepard. He ate about 4 lbs of seed and an entire suet block. We talked about live trapping it, but it might have babies this time of year, so...I guess we'll keep feeding it.

OK enough rambling. LW you know I hope you feel better and I sure
hope things are ok when the drugs wear off a little.

Hi LW,

I know all road trips has to include Las Vegas.

One of your earlier post you talked about some energy drink you had. If you need ANYTHING, please PM me, I would like to send you whatever you need.

Thanks,
Gyfgyf

Ps. My wife is a first class "shrink" ( has a doctorate in pshycology and wrote several scholarly books), however at the present time she can not travel. Also she has a hard time just keep my head screwed on right.

23skidoo you had better think about it before you try to drive her around in that Mustang. If you drive it like she used to she would not be able to take it. You have to drive slow and careful. In a Mustang.

Your parents sound like mine, especially my father. Ugh. Wish I could make the party too, and might even have to share a recipe I have for raccon stew. Wonder what your family would think of me.

I'm worried about when the doc steps my meds back down a bit. Right now he's having me take stuff at a level he said there's no way I can keep up for long. Between aggravating my chest and forcing me to sleep at night I take a pharmacy every day. I'd sure have to see the results of my piss test.

Yep, doc had me doped up enough to sleep through nightmares again, but he's cranking up the anti-anxiety meds to try to force the nightmares to quit, at least temporarly. He was leery of giving me a lot of them because of what anti-depressants did to me, but so far he says I'm not showing bad reactions. He checks every day and asks me questions about the nightmares and things.

I'd love to come out to Lost Wages to meet you. There's actually several GT'ers in your area that I'd like to meet. Thanks for the kind offer. I can't think of anything I need right now, but I do appreciate the thought.

BTW, I hope you of your wife doesn't take offense to the term 'shrink'. That's just what I and everyone I know calls psychiatrists and psychologists. No disrespect intended.

You're going to get this thread locked.

OK, so I'm sick in the head. The way I look at it that I can't change it, at least not overnight, so I mught as well get a laugh out of it. All my life people have told my I'm nuts, insane, off my rocker, etc. Well now it's the truth. Except it's no fun at all, it's living in hell. So sometimes I just have to laugh about it. That's just like when you ask how I feel and I say "I feel like someone shot me". Yeah, someone did shoot me but sometimes I just got to make a joke about it.

I'll finish the story, but not tonight, I'm already running late getting to the hospital. I'm real glad my shrink thinks the stuff we're doing here is a good idea, even though he wants me to talk about it even when I don't want to. But that's nothing new...

Miss Lone_, we'll take a cab from the airport to your house and pick the car up, that's how I'll get my mitts on it. Miss Silent_Runner, I will drive her Mustang like it was a baby carriage.

Rest well Sweetheart. More feather light hugs

[quote=Lone_Wolfe;15372720]Ummmmm, how are you going to get your mitts on my Mustang?

Your parents sound like mine, especially my father. Ugh. Wish I could make the party too, and might even have to share a recipe I have for raccon stew. Wonder what your family would think of me.

So...what motor is in that mustang? Is it per chance a convertible?
LW, I'm glad you have a man who likes to fish, and seems very kind.

I've chased the damn raccoon away twice tonight. He is pushing my
limits.

I'm sure my family would fall for you just as I have. There aren't any
weak women in my family. You would fit right in.

There is enough hero in you for me to share...
