Geeorge, you had better treat our esteemed Mayor, with more respect. You know he is courtin' Miss Lone_Wolfe. You may get ahead of him in posts, but you are so faaaar behind in the hugs and kisses department, you couldn't catch up in 10 years.

LW hope you are having a good day. I just had to give Geeorge, a hard time. No okie is going to have to worry about Geeorge, beating him out in the number of posts. Okie would stay up 28 hours a day, to make sure that won't happen.

and prayers to you sweetie.

to you too, my sweetie.

Maybe you never have seen the moon before in quite the same way. Think about it friend.
I didn't give what you said about the moon much thought until this evening. I just happened to run into my shrink as I was leaving someone’s office where I had done something to their computer. We were heading the same direction so we walked along talking a bit. We rounded a corner and could see the sunset so I stopped, pulled my camera out and started taking pictures. She took the papers I was carrying so I could use both hands.

I made a comment about it being a nice one and she said that I saw it different than other people. I asked what she meant and she told me “You’re seeing it through the eyes of someone who almost died. It’s all new to you.” I told her I’ve been seeing sunsets all of my life. She asked me when was the last time I took a picture of one. I told her the other day. She asked when was the last time before that. I shrugged and said I didn’t know. She said that was exactly what she was talking about.

Hmmmmmmm, I thought it was just because I got a camera that can take a decent pic, but now I wonder……………
Here’s a couple of the pics I took. Warning, NOT 56k friendly, that’s why I use links in here.

Ah yes, our heating pads......

'bout to go put one on my head in a second here - damn headache!

But..... before I go do that - here's a couple sunset thingies for ya-

This one is taken from my sister's front yard, looking across the street and up to the sky and level of the tops of the 'hills' in the nature preserve which the end of their street borders:

Okie Memorial Area

This one I took from the parking lot at Ventura Harbour right before we went into eat - oh my that Magic Mikey do like his 'Mexican Restaurant Chicken' ; )

Okie Memorial Area

I forget where I took this one; it's been some time ago, though - come to think of it, it may be another shot of the sunset I took on the way home from my sister's way back went - same trip as the last one. Sorry this one is bigger - I can't find it again on photobucket to resize it for you.....

Okie Memorial Area

This one is really old - took it on the way home from my sister's a couple months after Mikey was born - great roadtrip, tho, just kiddo and me

Miss Lone_; this isn't a sunset but it's still a beautiful warm place. It's in the Key West area of Florida and it's called Bahia Honda. My sister and BIL vacationed there during Thanksgiving a couple of months ago.

Not the ideal place to be, but a lot better than the bases down in OEF/OIF. Actually, the mountains really have a way of calming ones self... pretty neat seeing K2 from the air too. So here's my "sunrise" contribution from Kyrgyzstan.

Sunset not required. It looks so nice and warm. Meet me there and we can watch a few sunsets, how's that sound?

I can't get any of the pics posted after this to load right now on this damn haji-net connection, but I'll look at them later..........
