I don't like country music, but that song was written for Cash to sing. I love NIN and he did it justice IMO.

There is a good thread in the GNG right now. Asking "what song really blew your mind the first time you heard it?
I have so many special songs in my life time. Songs that remind me of different times in my life, and Special people in my life...people I love or will always have a special place in my heart for.
There are songs that whenEVER I hear them, it will take my breath away. I will pause and my mind will travel to a special place and time when I hear them.
There have even been times, when I am on my way home, and a certain song has come on the radio, and I will "take the long way home" just so I can hear the entire song.
What are some of those songs for you?

A song my then fiance', now husband of 31 years, shared with me, when he was home on leave, from the United States Army. This was his song for me...
We would spend a LONG three years of our engagement "Oceans Apart" while he served our country guarding the "Wall" that no longer exists in Germany.
When he returned, (it was suppose to be 18 months, but turned into 3 years),
I had graduated ffrom college, and we married, with my parents wonderful blessings.
It would be several years later, before I would hear this song, but when I did, I really felt it described our engagement period.

The first time he called me from Germany, it was in the WEE hours of the morning, and the German operator was having difficulty making a very sleepy me, understand what she was saying...I almost denied the call....but finally I realized...My FUTURE husband was in Germany...HE was calling me!!

This song was on a little while ago when I was at the bar and this stupid b**** fell over and spilled her drink all over me. So, I guess this is my song of the night. I actually do really like the song. I used to play it all the time. If you're not into hip hop, don't even bother clicking the link.

Working on finding music for the annual Graduation Slide Show for my fifth grade students.
Someone suggested that there was a song by Lee DeWyse about dreams  Found this one instead, and like it...can't use it though.

Went to see the movie "Letters to Juliet" with one of my best girlfriends earlier this afternoon. A very good movie...or "chick flick" as some would call it!
There were about two men in the theatre.
Ironically, she, divorced, just reconnected with her first love, when she went home for a reunion. He too is divorced.
Very interesting dinner conversation at dinner.

A great old song...for all of the GREAT old memories I am blessed with....
and for all of the great new memories I am blessed to make each day.
