It's been a while since I've logged on to GT and seen posts here.

I've been back in school with the children for two weeks...and am ready...MORE THAN...to enjoy a three day weekend now!

Six days in, and I already was sick from the precious children's germs. BAD Sore throat....etc.

I didn't get this stuff when I was a child and went through my own school daze!!!

My family says...This is a record for me!!! LOL!!!!

Great songs posted here!

Keep the thread alive! My computer doesn't seem to like GT....the OAF much. It is too frustrating to try to post here anymore!

Have a great time!

I sure do miss the old OAF!!!

Hey Karen, always good to see you here...

Hope ya have a good weekend!

Too bad you're computer is giving ya hard time, I know how frustrating that can be. When my first computer crashed I had to learn how to reprogram it on my own, couldn't afford to pay someone to have it repaired, plus I figured it would be a good learning experience. Well, that learning experience may have shortened my life by a few years.
Anyway, I use Firefox and post tunes from https://www.youtube.com/

I've found that new brand name computers are overloaded with so-called useful software, perhaps you could have a computer savvy person make the necessary corrections? Nothing has changed here as far as I can tell.

Either way, hope ya at least check in from time to time!

What can I say? Windows 8?????

My Tech at school was going to switch my laptop to Windows 7, this fall for me.

HOWEVER, they installed that on my lab computers that I teach on, and on my laptop at school....so I'm not sure I want to go that route. We've had nothing but problems since that change was made over the summer.

I've almost decided, however, that because THIS thread is so long, my computer just doesn't like this thread.

You tube just seems to eat our internet system alive right now.

But I've been listening to a lot of great music for the past couple of weeks.

My high school reunion was last weekend. Yes...as always, it was absolutely amazing!
Seems like every time we get together, it just gets better and better. We all feel like we were a very blessed group of kids. There were almost 1,000 kids in our class, and yet we crossed over the social classes and we were all friends. It was amazing. We are getting much older now. We are going to have a BIG birthday bash in two years because it is a very significant number, and we don't want to wait until the next 5th year or 10th year reunion.

I've always been on the reunion committee, but this year, I didn't feel led....someone on the committee always dies between reunions. I didn't want to push my luck this year. I pray that no one does this time, because I love all of those "kids"!!! I was on the committee 5 years ago, and I lost a very dear friend since that reunion committee.

But, I refuse to rob myself of the joy next time. When it's my time, it's my time!

The reunion was amazing....even my hubby has become friends with my friends that he looks forward to my reunions, as I do his.

I forgot to ask, what our class song was.

How old am I? Old. I graduated in a great year. 1974.

But I am proud of that now. With almost 1,000 in our class, our memorial table was very sad...but in prospective, we really have mostly survived those 40 years. The stories are sad. Some heart attacks. Some cancers. But I remember 10 years after, a friend of mine, also on the committee that year, I had just called her on the phone....weeks before the reunion, she was killed in a plane crash. Never saw her dream of the 1st reunion become a reality. She was my friend since 7th grade.

Not my intention to be sad, but to be thankful for the blessings of my high school years; my friends; my life since then...my family, my husband, my children, and my lifelong friends!

When I started this post, I had a song in my heart to post....but I've heard several since....

Now, I'm listening to "I'd Really Love to See you Tonight"

I think that's a good one.

To all of the people....friends and loved ones in my life that I would have loved to also have seen at that reunion....

Another one....

James Taylor Fire and Rain....
I always thought I'd see you again

I don't want anyone to think that I live my life in the past!

I am SO very blessed in my life. I ALWAYS have been!

My childhood and youth was amazing. I had wonderful parents who did everything to give us the best life they could. They taught us right from wrong...we were NOT spoiled by any stretch of the imagination.

The gave us a strong Christian upbringing.

I married a wonderful man...an amazing father to our two daughters. An amazing husband to me.

I have so many wonderful memories, and so much more to look forward too!

God has been so good to us!

When I count my blessings, it is hard to know where to start...except for my Lord and Savior!

I know I might get reprimanded for this post....

But that's okay!

Have an amazing weekend!
