Two of them are from one semi-feral kitty I feed. The other one is from a feral that showed up with only one kitten. The single kitten started playing with the others and now she thinks she part of that family. I've let them come inside when there are mean toms in the neighborhood.

Demented expression.

You seem to have that cat figured out.

That's cool to hear. You can just pack up that sleeping one and send her to me anytime now........

I never thought of her as demented, just retarded. But I can see where you get demented in those pics. As to the rifle, it's not a deer rifle. It's a Vostok single shot .22 that I had at one time. Here's a couple pics. I don't know anything else about it. I never shot it and don't have it any more.

As to why that varmint was laying on it, that's simple. That 'tard couldn't stand for me to pay attention to anything but her. Up until a few years ago I collected guns and would take pics of each one. More often than not I ended up with pics of her fat ass laying on whatever gun I was trying to get pics of. Here's some examples.

I thought that I was seeing one of the steps in a military Mauser barrel when actually it was the front ring of the receiver. Oh well.

Yes, I enjoyed .22's. They were cheap to shoot, also. You're good, that IS a Martini Mk II. I had it for a couple of years and yes, I did shoot that one. If I ever wish I had some of them back that's probably one that I'll wish for.

Oh, and the obligatory kitty pic...........

I need to get a pic of my neighbor's calico for you. She's a rescued feral cat, but for some reason she's really friendly, at least to me.

Okay, so here is a great story for this thread.

Two hours ago today I was taking a nap as usual after work. I left my backdoor open (fenced in backyard) to get a nice draft going throughout the house. I wake up to some rustling and its coming from in my room...so my first instinct is that its a mouse and i jump out of bed, and get down low to see where he is coming from. Well much to my surprise...a head pops out from underneath my bed skirt, and it wasn't a mouse at all...

IT WAS A CAT! A smallish male tuxedo cat, proudly strutting around my house without concern. After I flushed him out of my room, he wanders into the hallway...

The Okie Corral

I cautiously approach the cat and lean down to pet him. He seems pretty friendly...and proves to be a real chatterbox![';;;;;;;;;;;W#
4444444r (that was the cat who just walked across my keyboard in real time)

So what else was I suppose to do? ...Feed him! I got out some tuna in a pouch, put it in a small dish and give it to him along with a side bowl of water to wash it down.

The Okie Corral

He devours all the food instantly...so I open another pouch and give that too him, he eats about half and decides to relax on my windowsil, watching the cars go by.

The Okie Corral

I just got home from the food store, got him some kitty food, more litter, and a brush.

I'm not going to allow him back into my room just yet..I'd like to see how well he adjusts to living with me and also to make sure he's not carrying any type of crazy diseases. Upon a therough petting inspection, I noticed that he has several small bumps on his skin, around his head and neck area. Do you think these are just bug bites, or the sign of a more serious problem? He doesn't appear to have fleas.

Anyway, I've been working on a name for him. So far I've got Brenton Hughett Chillingsworth Esquire...It seems fitting.

99.9% of the time it means there are fleas. A bath (use ONLY cat shampoo please, there skin's 'ph' is way off for other human kinds of soap) and dip will take care of the resident fleas, then one of those 'applications' on the back of the neck will keep "new" fleas from clinging on.

Totally an opinion here: If I were you, I would let the cat keep the claws and just be a sojourner as far as inside living goes. Take the cat to get the shot series (e.g., rabies etc.) but forgo the complete domestication of this critter. "Mutts" like this one are usually hardy when it comes to being sick and what not so you shouldn't have any troubles there.
