that's great... a well functioning 1911 covered in grill paint.... with checkering that looks like they used a vice-grip to get a stuck lower out of the Chinese cnc / brake disc cutting machine...

Last year I had a five day turn around, including Saturday and Sunday
for a repair on my 2007 model PT 24/7 PRO.

That, and it shipped FREE both ways.

Can't beat it.

All the Best,
D. White

Taurus sells the tool they use to checker PT1911s, see below

They don't use that. The chain will not stay tight long enough to finish the job.
It does however, have a grip safety that is easy to use, unlike 1911's! Me and my strange hands..

This thread is very entertaining! I've had a few good laughs out of it for sure. Just so happens I took a Pt1911 9mm in trade about 8 months ago. Yes, the finish and checkering are terrible, the billboard on the slide hard on the eyes, but the damn thing shoots like a house a fire. I'm not a Taurus fan, in addition to the PT I own an old mdl 85 .22 revolver I bought used years ago for a snake gun. Out of the few dozen pistols and revolvers I own, just two Tauri. Sorry guys, but this Taurus compares very favorably to my Spartan performance wise. I did replace the tiny imitation Novak rear sight with a Novak adjustable. I plan to shoot it a little in ESP or SS/L10 when I get tired of playing with the guns I'm using now.
The gun has a forged slide and frame, along with a decent barrel, which is more than you get from 1911 platform pistols from the Philippine guns for about the same money. I have enough small parts in my kit to replace the internals a few times over should I need to. I may just shoot the crap out of it next year when the games start as just see how it works out. Might have to coat the slide to tone down that billboard tho--------! I'd never get any peace if the guys knew I were shooting a Taurus.

My RIA was flawless in function and accurate the sights never fell off, the safety never fell off, etc.

Much better gun than the Taurus.

Yeah I know! There are people out there that think the Taurus 1911 is worth something!
