Proactive Shooters' next 2 Defensive Handgun I classes will be held on:
Sunday, November 25, 2012 (4 spots left)
Sunday December 23, 2012 (10 spots left)
Class times are from 9am to 5pm.
The cost for the class is $150.00
Defensive Handgun I is a structured, live fire class designed to teach you shooting techniques needed to properly deploy your defensive handgun, while at the same time reinforcing safe gun handling skills. This course will be crucial for someone who carries a handgun on a regular basis and wants to learn & reinforce new skills beyond the basic fundamentals.
Students should have a firm grasp on the fundamentals of shooting (stance, grip, sight alignment, etc) before registering for this class. This class will build upon those skills.
Some of the topics covered:
Holster draw and presentation
Shooting at various distances - from retention to 25 yards.
Shooting from standing, kneeling, and right/left lateral recumbent.
Target recognition
Linear / lateral movement.
Engaging multiple targets.
...and more!
Details and registration may be found here - http://proactiveshooters.com/defensive-handgun-i-2/
Equipment Requirements: Semi-Automatic, center fire, defensive handgun (.380 to .45 caliber), 400 rounds of ammunition (minimum), ear protection (headphone style preferred), eye protection, a baseball style cap/hat, 3 magazines (or more), a magazine pouch and a strong side, belt slide/outside the waistband holster, and a light jacket/windbreaker that opens in the front.
Additionally, you may also wish to bring appropriate gear for the weather, gun cleaning supplies, lunch, snacks, etc or any other items that you may need. Please note that “pocket pistols” such as Kel-tecs and Ruger LCP’s are not suitable for this class.

Are glocks okay for the class?? Kidding.....
I would love to go. I'm gonna have to check the schedule and the funds. That would be nice. I've just gotten back to shooting after a 5+mos layoff from surgery.
