Looks just like mine! I'm hoping to put some boot grips on it for Christmas and put some real carry miles on it.

Actually, that's a 325sc. I have one of those and despite being very ugly, it is an awesome carry piece. Enjoy it, it is fairly rare.

I have a 480 Alaskan and tried pachy compacs and a slimmed down original srh grip. With full power loads it is positively brutal. I'm talking hand damage! Shooting an entire cylinder is not pleasant. It is quite a handful with the "Tamers", but at least it isn't as painful. After noticing my right thumb knuckle was 50% larger than the left, I made transition back to glocks. I have a 41 loaded with supers for backcountry carry and a 30S for town. My thumbs are back to the same size now.

I have found my .454 to be managable with the original, albiet large, Hogue rubber grips. The original SRH grips and not appropriate for full power loads.

I even bought some Eagle Secret Service grips for the gun and it looked great and shot great with any .45 Colt loads. With the .454 or the more powerful .480, it would be handicide.
