But anyway, I agree with the others as the Umarex .22's are cheap attempts at rimfire firearms. The Buckmark and other purpose built .22lr pistols are a better choice if you are not buying a .22 to compliment to your service pistol. The P-22 and MP-22 I have are fun to suppress and play weekend warrior with, but neither hold any comparable value to my Buckmark either for suppressed fun or marksmanship training.

So it's ok to make claims of fact w/o supporting them w/ actual fact?
This place is ate up when people get up in arms when someone asks for supporting evidence. Maybe you ladies are ok w/ "it's fact because I say it is" from some self proclaimed internet rockstar but not this guy. It's just not good enough, and shouldn't be for anyone.
And also lets follow along a little better so when we make a post it reflects the conversation at hand. I never made a statement of good, bad, better, or worse. I never made a claim of any sort.
What we ended up w/ is 6 pages of some collector that is used to people taking his every word for fact until someone who's not impressed w/ the ability to collect came along and asked for supporting evidence. Feathers got ruffled quick. Sad. Someone should have done this a long time ago.
Will it make a difference? Probably not. The rockstars will continue to post "fact" and their minions will back them w/o ever asking when, where, why, or asking questions period. They'll just slurp it up like it's their little "happy ending."

You're a joke. You can't even comprehend elementary level concepts.
The first sign you were in over your head, the unfounded claims.
Do you normally have people email their application or resume? Sounds kinda fast food when I hear people talking about applications.
Now get your buddies together and go gaze. Meat, guns, or whatever you fellows do.

Give it up. You add NOTHING to the forum. Nobody wants you here.
I actually don't look at resumes or applications. I have a hiring staff that does it. Fast food? No, guess again.

Yes because opinion pieces add so much. Right?
You're just butt hurt because someone called on your, "it's fact because I say it's fact" BS.
Go round up the other gazers and make it a date.

For the sake of my own sanity, and because I graduated from Kindergarten DECADES ago, I skipped from page one (when it became a pissing match) to this page to point out that the OP mentioned "sub-sonic" ammo...HELLO! that right there calls for a revolver or non-semi-auto rifle. So, 1911 wannabe? Duty gun lookalike? Non-starter. Get the heck over yourselves and try to help the OP out.
I've got a Ruger Single Six that eats anything, because it doesn't have to operate a slide. And a Marlin Original Golden 39A lever action rifle, same reason. Would I expect a semi auto .22 to reliably cycle sub-sonic ammo? Heck no, and I doubt you would either.
So, OP, get whatever trips your trigger, but don't expect a semi-auto to reliably cycle anything other than high velocity .22lr ammo.
The M&P 22 I use in my classes has been very reliable, and affords newbies the ability to concentrate on the fundamentals of pistol shooting without concerns with recoil and serious flash/bang, before they move on to larger calibers.
Fits M&P 9 and 40 holsters, and they have a good time, critical for first timers.
Sheesh, it's not about you guys...it's a question by the OP.
Show a little respect.

I'm not butt hurt at all. I'm just trying to do you yet another favor and save you more embarrassment. Since you didn't appreciate me educating you about firearms, you probably won't appreciate this either.
...but anyway, its been real. Stop on over to General Firearms should you need any other free lessons.
If it makes you feel better to get in the last post, go for it. Somebody may read it, but I'm done with this thread.

Your butt hurt is obvious, clear as day. It's the reason you continue to spew fallacies. You're butthurt that your ability to collect doesn't impress.
The only embarrassment should come from the fact that you can't understand the elementary concept of supporting evidence. Every time you've been asked to support your claims of fact you have failed. Well, other than the "because I say it's fact" BS you tried as if you're somehow somebody.
So again, stick to the gazing w/ your fellow collectors and writing your worthless opinion pieces similar to those of the growing liberal media. Next time you claim something to be factual support the claim w/ substance not, because you say it's so.
Say it with me, S-U-P-P-O-R-T-I-N-G E-V-I-D-E-N-C-E. Let it sink in then practice it. You'll get respect from those other than the mindless minions impressed but your ability to collect. And get to the range once in a while. Maybe try something other than a traditional static range.

After seeing some new activity, this is actually my first time visiting this thread since my last post 10 days ago.
Why the hell would you bring it back up for that?

I have the M&P 22 for a few months now with no problems whatsoever. I would buy it again. It is a great gun.

I have a M&P 22lr handgun. It will shoot anything all day long. Seems like the dirtier the better. Smith & Wesson sent me new sights off of their M&P 9 and it was a perfect fit. My 65 yr. old eyes now hit everything I aim at. Got ammo ?.
