My Wal*Mart had a sign on the ammo case that said the warehouse was out of 9mm, .40S&W, .223 and .22LR.

Think about the impact of this statement.
Walmart is the highest volume seller of ammunition in the U.S by a long shot.

With all the concern I have for the impending ban, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to put up a few cases to add to the pile or is ammo not much of a concern at this point?
Where should I look to order/buy from? Wal-mart is all around, and I get huge discounts at Cabelas but I'm not sure if they are in the running for the best deals.
Thanks

There is no "impending ban". There's a bunch of idiot politicians with a wish list and .22s arent even on it. Stop scaring the sheep.

I hope people put as much effort into writing their elected officials as they do posting in all of these threads.

Here is a video of a young lad shooting a suppressed Savage Mark II, with standard velocity rounds from 100 yards, on a deer head (dead). Very interesting results.

VERY interesting video!!
I didn't think it had enough energy from 100yds. to go clean through. I figured it'd penetrate but then bounce around inside the skull.
Again, quite informative. Thanks for posting that!

Expected results.
The .22 is a very underappreciated round. VERY lethal but not great 1 shot stopping power.
This video is pretty good on showing the power of the round.

From what i understand, people fear a per round ammo tax. That, coupled with the inability to reload rimfires, will cause 22lr prices to skyrocket if a tax goes into place. That's just what I've gathered by talking to local gun store owners.
