hey from nw ohio
hello everyone, im not new to shooting or handguns, but I did take the plunge and jumped into the Glock world 2 days before Christmas. After years of carrying a xd 45 compact, I got into 1911s as my go to carry. I just love the .45acp round but for different reasons I bought a G19 gen 4. And I must say after 300 or so rounds im falling for it. Im not a fanboy of any brand, but this gun fits the bill for what I need it for. I own my own business and needed a gun that was easy to conceal, yet more power than my 380s. My dad and brother each bought xdm 9mm compacts at the same time I got this. all of us carried 45s before. both are great guns but i must say everyone shot tighter groups with the glock. So im looking forward to all the information on here. only thing in not impressed with is the mag release but im going to do some looking around on here to see what with fix that.

Welcome aboard.
I believe Glock makes an "extended magazine catch". I know extended mag catches can be gotten at Lone Wolf and some othe other Glock suppliers.

Thanks everyone. Been a member of other forums for years and was never received like this. Thanks so much. I'm from sandusky co to all my fellow buckeyes. One thing Ive been searching on here is front slide cuts. Seems like the glock finish is so slippery compared to my other guns. Prefer to do a press check from the front of the chamber. Any comments on that? I've used the grit type tape on other guns for front strap on grip but never on a slide.
