Gander Mt. offered $150 for G39?!

Went to Gander today to see what they would offer for my G39...$150, "because it's a .45 GAP". Ridiculous. After laughing and deciding not to buy a Ruger LC9 from them I left.

So your gun is worth 3 boxes of Buffalo Bore. I hope you really did laugh at them. As long as your gun functions and doesn't look like a war trophy, they should be able to pony up $300 or more.

At my local Gander, the 9, 40, and 45 Glocks are the ones the store really wants; those calibers have a wide following among its customers. 357sig, 10mm, and 45gap move slowly in their store, so they don't cherish them. On the other hand, I have bought 10mm and 357sig Glocks there at truly superb prices.

They offered me 200 for a excellent cond Model 20. No Thanks My friend needed some quick cash for another purchase he took 2 mod 17 an 3 model 19's all like new condition 5 glock's with the case two mag's ea Gander offered him 750.00 for five glock's.

how much you think GM pays for a new Glock ? I'm thinking a good size dealer/store don't pay more than $250.00

pawn shops and gun stores are not where those in the know go to sell a gun. to think you will get fair market value from them is ignorant.

Ever consider a private sale?
You'll more than likely get your asking price if it's reasonable.

Just find a responsible person to sell it to, and depending on where you live that could be a problem also.

After 10 years, I sold a Star FireStar .40 for about the same price I bought it, after the mfg went out of business. It was described as moderately good condition, posted several close up photos. Sent it to the buyer's local FFL dealer so the other side could be responsible for background check and all the legal stuff (let them worry about who's getting the gun, not me).

I used GunBroker.com and it worked out well. They got a small commission - I sold a gun properly and for good money.

There is a shop around here *I know it's not where you live* but they usually offer $300 unless it looks bts. I got my first hand gun at a big box. Never again.
